So my Question is.....
Most recently I have concentrated on those dealing with Ablation as the increased frequency of my attacks have put me on the waiting list for a
Cryoablation
. Simply put, they don't make for great reading.

Laser ablation
I went into hospital for a
cryoablation
on Friday but was told afterwards that I had had a laser ablation as it carries less risks and is a simpler procedure. Also if I do need a second ablation the success rate is greater.

So what would you do?
I had a
Cryoablation
in July 2016 and all was well until last October when I had 2 episodes which was almost certainly brought on by stress. Since then, I have had a further 2 episodes for no apparent reason. All episodes were quickly stopped using flecainide as a Pip.

Propafenone
The last one was
cryoablation
. Unfortunately it did not help. It seemed to lower my heart rate while in AF to fortiesa d the heart took long pauses. Had a pacemaker five weeks ago. My cardiologist wants me to take Propafenone 3X150mg a day and Bisoprolol 2.5mg once daily.

PIP or twist
However he has put me on his lengthy waiting list for a
Cryoablation
. Just wondering if anyone in the same boat as myself. Incidentally the latest episode triggered by washing my hair. (What bit i have left) Thinking of selling my comb and giving my hair dryer to charity.

Focal Therapy?
I also looked at Fox Chase Cancer Center's site and am intrigued by the possibility of Focal Therapy which uses thermal-based tissue ablation devices, such as
cryoablation
, which freezes the targeted area, or High Intensity Focused Ultrasound (HIFU), which uses heat to destroy cancer cells.

question about post cryoablation use of multaq
Had successful cardiac cryablation 10/16/17 after two years paroxymal A-fib and several months on Multaq which helped but left me feeling weak with poor exertion recovery. Doc told me to keep taking Multaq for two more months until follow up visit. Is this common? Drug has unpleasant side-effects and

Looking for a member who went to Atlanta Georgia for cryoablation who was misinformed about insurance.
Hello everyone, I don't know if it was this site or another one that I belong to but I'm looking for a woman who actually traveled to Atlanta Georgia for the procedure of
cryoablation
and didn't get it thinking it would be covered by insurance as I did and had booked my trip as well.

One week after Cryoablation
Is it normal to still feel unwell a week after your ablation? I feel sick and generally under the weather. Also, how long before you can relax knowing that an Atrial-esophageal fistula is not going to develop? Thanks for all the replies to my last post.

Had Cryoablation on Monday
I had the procedure at Liverpool Heart and Chest Hospital. A consultant was in the theatre, but the procedure was performed by a charming young Man. This was unexpected and I am concerned as it was very painful and it has not worked. They are suggesting a redo in a few months with RF ablation. The good

AF back after ablation
I had a
cryoablation
in February after 30 years of paroxysmal af which became persistent. I have felt wonderful until last Monday. It came back with a vengeance. EP put me back on bisoprolol 5mg and is talking about going back on amiodarone if it carries on.

Cardioversion
Ive had seven wonderful post-
cryoablation
months in nsr but .........I've been in afib for over two weeks, now taking bisoprolol 5mg and Rivaroxaban. EP has suggested cardioversion in hospital and I admit I'm scared. Has anyone had this done? Many thanks.
