Why do my bruises change color?
I don't metabolize
coumadin
(Warfarin) so I take an Imitrex injection daily. The other morning the bruising on my abdomen were a greenish and yellow color as if they are healing. That night they were all a dark purple color and remain that way. Why would this be?

Ruptured Varicose Veins....??
I take
Coumadin
daily to keep INR in range, no issues with it. Late in November I was working (Wedding Coordinator) and of course I stand all day, along with constant walking, etc. At one point I squatted down to grab something under a table and I felt this horrible pain in the back of my thigh.

Would it be wise to take a 96 year old to be off Coumadin because he has hypo static hypotension?

What usually happens after a cardioversion - I expected to come off all the meds (not all at once obviously) but that's not happening.
I had a successful cardioversion in June, I had been taking Amiodarone for a week before, and was told by the cardio to continue with that and bisoprololo which had been reduced to 3.75,
Coumadin
,& Losartan until the follow up 2 months later, after a Holter ecg & thyroid test.

Has anyone noticed a difference in their INR results when taking generic warfarin vs name brand Coumadin?
I've been in my target range more often when taking
Coumadin
than when I took the generic.

Diagnosed with vasculitis
My hematologist recommended me to take
coumadin
and at times I have felt better but lately, I am not sure if the
coumadin
is working because I feel dizzy and my face is a little tingling. Recently I was diagnosed with vasculitis in my toes. My toes started getting purple and very painful.

My first official INR after starting Coumadin.........
My INR was 1. 7 , So my dose was increased by 1 mg ,Also had a nurse practitioner ,give more information about foods, vitamins and such. Was told basically that once I was at the target range I could add more as needed to get optimum results. I am just so glad that I have found a Dr to go to.
