Cortisol levels and ability to tolerate T3/T4
Cortisol is fascinating stuff! I was just reading an article about cortisol levels being strongly linked to the bodies ability to cope with the addition of T3/T4... also how low T3 likely leads to low cortisol.... and round we go... I've been quite lucky that I have been able to add in T3 without any

Confused about whether to reduce dose on endo advice
Hello, I’d welcome some advice please. I’ve been taking 100mcg x 6 days and 75mcg x 1 day for most of this year. Recent results have been: 26/7/22 - TSH 1.1 (0.27-4.2) 27/8/22 - TSH 0.68 7/12/22 - TSH 0.9, FT3/4 normal (no result provided) I was referred to an endo due to low cortisol, but this

They gave me
Cortisone
and some other medicines through a canula in my hand. My chest was getting very tight and I found it painful to breathe in and out in the centre of my chest. They said they would give me something to help with the itching too.

recent blood test shows low cortisol and high triglycerides-advice on further tests or treatment to discuss with endocrinologist
Hi all, I have recently been to see an endocrinologist who has agreed to prescribe t3 on the provision that all other results are ok on my recent blood test as my conversion on t4 to t3 is very low. The results have shown a suspected cortisol deficiency along with high triglycerides. I have also started

Is stopping Dabigatran for 5 days an overkill?
I am due to have an injection of
cortisone
and local anaesthetic in to my lower back, guided by X-ray. My consultant’s secretary has just called to book it and said that he said I have to stop dabigatran 5 days before the procedure.

I feel it may have something to do with the Symbicort and

I have taken over the years. Does anyone know of an effective non-

treatment? Thank you.

Still not on top of pain control for arthritic pain in shoulders although
cortisone
has helped massively with the right. So scoffing Cocodomol like its going outta fashion. I still come back to Bisoprolol. Following Physiotherapy exercises for shoulders.

Reducing Prednisolone and normal test results.
The consultant advised that when I get down to 2 mg to have a full blood test, to include
Cortisone
, bone, liver, and a couple of other. These tests are all normal but I am not feeling well, aching in my neck, lower legs, back shoulders and headache when waking.

Pain management alternatives
His orthopedic surgeon suggested that Jeff try
cortisone
shots, however after we were referred to the pain specialist, we learned he wasn’t a candidate for said treatment as it had the propensity to spread the cancer into his joints. It was suggested that Jeff try a pain pump.

Short Synthen Test.
My rheumatology nurse ordered a SST as I’m now sitting on 3 mgs of prednisone to check adrenal activity. I didn’t take my prednisone prior to the blood test to ensure a correct baseline reading. Results came through showing my serum cortisol was sitting at 560 which is on the high side. Obviously

hypersensitive to T3
Hi there, I had a thyroidectomy years ago and have been on T4 (levo) only for majority of the time, I sourced NDT to try get some T3 but found I had high reverse T3. I am now taking 100mcg T4 (levo) and started T3 (liothyronine) but find I am very sensitive to the T3. I started with 5mcg in the morning

Questions about using hydrocortisone instead of cortex?
Hi everyone, *post for a friend* does anyone with confirmed low cortisol on a 4 point saliva test currently use HC? Beginning to wonder if cortex might not be enough as I am having a lot of intolerance symptoms persisting after armour dose increases.. (vitamin deficiencies all ruled out/optimised

slightly low cortisol results
Hi. I’m currently on 4.5mg of pred and some days felt very fatigued. Not every day. I requested a cortisol test and it came back slightly low, 334 and I understand it should be over 400. I have been advised to have a synacthen test. Not sure what the treatment is for low cortisol. Is it staying on
