New and could use some advice
I'm new and not yet diagnosed. I have a call with the GP on Friday, but to be honest I've not had the best service from my GP unless I go in well informed. I'm mainly worried about a variation in TSH in a short time. I have a family history of hypothyroidism and currently take no medication what so

Is my 7 year old son hypothyroid?
My son is 7 years old and he doesn't seem to be growing enough, at least in the last year or so. I am suspecting he could be Hypothyroid because of my genes (Hashimoto's and Type 1 diabetes), so we did some blood work: hGH - 0,27 ng/mL (0,05 - 11,00) IGF-I - 74,93 ng/mL (18,00 - 307,00) TSH - 3,574

Monitor my health laboratory results
Is someone able to explain why I feel unwell if my t3 is converting but t4 high. I did take the t4 two hours before as it was suggested I try this, but my t4 was also above range in March 24 following all the protocols on here for tests (both monitor my health tests). GP test in between these showed

Taking Omeprazole with Levo
I had a total thyroidectomy in 2016 after having a thyroid storm……I have been on various doses of Levo over the following years both up & down doses (at one point only 50mcg per day!)…. I am now taking 75mcg per day & mostly don’t feel too bad….although medical professionals are trying to lower dose

iodine to take it or not?

Due to trying for a baby I have resorted to a private nhs gp who specialises in hormone health. She put me on a methylated pregnancy multivit containing iodine as well as referring me to a functional

Thoughts on thyroid labs please
Hi all 32 year old son seems well enough but with a tendency to gain weight although he’s not obese. He’s reasonably active. Not on thyroid replacement He has core nutritional deficiencies despite eating very well but working on correcting these, as per advice on here Blood drawn 2pm, so TSH likely

NHS Health Check Drives
Had hypothyroidism for 20 years and pre-diabetes for about 12 years which I've managed to keep under control, touch wood. Now my GP surgery has insisted I attend a 60 Day Care Plan or some rubbish probably driven by Government bonuses as they've never batted an eyelid about test results until now and

Does anyone know why, in people using NDT, the TSH readings tend to be very low, even when the T4 and T3 are within normal ranges? My GP is concerned that my low TSH readings mean I am at risk of osteoporosis, but since I am not hyperthyroid I don't understand why. My T4 and T3 are within reference

Is Levo the Pro Harmone any use at all?
I have been reading two books of Paul Robinson's: The Patient's Thyroid Manual and The Recovering from T3 books The question I have is something he writes about, which is: If more levo is taken and TSH reduces, then this process has a knock on effect hindering the T4 to T3 conversion. Therefore,

What dose increase do you reckon?
I've been on 50mg of levo for 2 months. Just had bloods redone and results are: T4 15.9 (11.9-21.6) T3 4.4 (3.9-6.8) TSH 2.69 (0.27-4.20 (Before T4 was 11.4 and TSH was 4.16) I haven't got an appointment with my end for another 4 weeks as he's away. What dose do you think I'll end up being

New test results as been feeling yuk.
Decided to have another Medichecks two days ago, now six weeks post covid negative. I’ve been quite hyper, getting hung up on cleaning, sleep is all over the place, full of rage so I knew things weren’t right. Craving coffee (rationing to 2 a day) and sugar - my mouth doesn’t even want to realise I’m

T3 result advice
I’m asking this for a friend who just got her blood results. Her TSH was below 2 and T4 was high in range which I know is good. I don’t know much about T3 her result for T3 was 4.10 and range is 3.10 to 6.80 so can someone tell me if this is good. She is on levothyroxine only.

Update on visit to gp🙈
Hi everyone ❤️ Update on visit to gp yesterday, firstly I will say she was one of the most down to earth gps I've ever seen👍 she had all my information to hand, she'd obviously done her homework which is rare with some , if not all gps today. I took my roseway information and tablets [ NDT] with me

Hi These are my latest blood results and am thinking I need to decrease my Levo dose. I am taking 125/100 alternate days, My last blood results indicated that I needed to decrease my T3, from 15 to 10 which I have done, but now my T4 has gone up. Could anyone advise what my next step is. I’m not
