Reduction in blood thinners
My Mam had a double heart bypass in July 2019 after CA and many HAs over a 6 year period. Her body just didnt like her stents! She has recovered well and is doing more more than I've seen her do in years, which is great. She has had her blood thinners removed from her med list, however is still on aspirin

I would like to apologise for my last post.
Driven completely by frustration, shortly after Christmas I posted that, such was the focus on COVID 19, in both the NHS and the private sector, the only way I was going to receive the bypass surgery I required was if I had a heart attack. It was an immature and insensitive post and one that I regretted

Covid vaccine list
If I have previously had a quintuple heart bypass where do I sit on the nhs rollout list for the COVID vaccine?. I have been diagnosed with coronary heart disease.

310 Lb., 66 Year Old Man 11 Weeks After Cabbage.
I just signed up. I hope I can learn from all of you and contribute to the forum. I’ve had a couple of periods of time when I was in athletic tip-top physical shape at 210 lbs., but most of my life I’ve been a pig. I’m not a small fat man... I’m a stout large boned fat man... Based on many bone measurements

Vibrating heart
Hi , Last year I had a few days when my heart was vibrating as if I had a small kitten purring inside it. I had an ecg at my gps surgery which showed nothing strange and my cardio didn’t seem bothered(phone call) . Today it’s happening again. I did have a stressful situation to deal with first thing

Heart attack last August, no Stent
I had a STEMI last August. 999 super fast response, and I was taken to cath lab within 1 hour of the 999 call. They did angioplasty, but were unable to insert stent(s) because of ectatic Right coronary artery. I'm told this means that instead of being smooth, the artery has narrow bits and wide bits.

Routine check ups after CABG x5
I’m just asking out of curiosity - my husband had a quintuple bypass in Canada 2 years ago. We came back to the U.K. last August and gave the doctor all his records. Do people have annual checks with a cardiologist here or if you are ok is that it?

Post heart attack medication
Had heart attack nearly five weeks ago had one stent fitted. I am now on medication for blood press and cholesterol, how long does it take to reduce my high blood pressure and what side effect if any should I be aware of? Many thanks

Bypass surgery
New to this forum. I had a heart attack 7 months ago, triple bypass a week later. I’m interested to hear from people that have experienced similar and how they are recovering, set backs, how you are feeling? Any symptoms you might have or if you are fully recovered. Thanks

Coronary spasm and percutaneous coronary intervention for refractory cases.
Has anyone had stents if there condition is not well controlled? Ive read this in a few articles, also read that stents can be a focal point for spasms hence not used.

Learning to cope
Hi everyone. Some really good and sound advice on here. I had a heart attack and stent fitted just before last Christmas and seem to be recovering well physically. Mentally I am struggling with anxiety, which I was already prone to, and wish my cardiac rehabilitation could have been more face to face

Unplanned hospital visit - MVD - next steps?
I ended up in hospital on Thursday on my birthday! Had a black out at home along with usual chest pain. Had another angiogram to check my new stent put in last November was ok. All good & arteries not clogged. Through a process of elimination they told me they thought i had MVD and Vasospastic Angina

Failed angiogram
Hi all, only my second post on here. I’ve just got home from a failed angiogram. Back in 2019, I had a NSTEMI resulting in a stent fitted on the LAD. After roughly 6 months, I started suffering angina pain on exertion. I reported this to my cardiologist who subsequently referred me for an angiogram.

With hindsight, what do you wish you'd known when you had your first diagnosis of Parkinsons
I'm new here, but already signed up with the 'heart' section after having 2 new valves, an atriclip and a CABG in February this year.I had a stroke in 2016!Whatever next! Parkinsons is the answer - and I'm determined to fight that too with your help - what a wonderful brother/sisterhood you are. Typing

Hi everyone . I had a HA on dec 1st , ambulance to hospital ,blood tests showed i had a HA, was put on cardio ward and a few days later had angiogram. Best Laid Plans
Hi Nice people, hope you are all good and well. I must say that 8 weeks after CABG I’m feeling almost back to normal (as normal as normal can be) .... I had my sign-off meet at the The hospital yesterday, with my Surgeon, the one I look up to now as the man who was between me and my maker. I was very
