Gabapentin side effects
I have been taking medication for my RLS for 11 years now. Initially pramipexol for 8 years then Ropinirole for two years and I’ve just started Gabapentin on top of the Ropinirole. I’ve been increasing the Gabapentin to 600mg a day, 100mg in the morning, 200mg afternoon and 300mg at night. I feel

Magnesium, how much and tablet/spray
My RLS has become significantly worse over the last 6 months and I am reluctant just yet to take regular medication for the condition before trying other avenues. I have eliminated caffeine and alcohol and have regular exercise but it doesn't seem to help. I recently tried the Therapulse but at times

RLS Requip (the devil med) and then Gabapentin(my savior)
I was on Requip for years always inching up in the dose as I went. It really didn’t stop the pain or movements. Then I had a blast of some kind of mental dysfunction and I began to gamble. I gambled away $200,000.00 of my retirement money. I also acted different. More than one person told me that. I

Hay fever medicines
I continue to have badly blocked ears and a runny nose for several weeks. I’ve only managed to see paramedics rather than a GP about it. I haven’t used any nasal sprays (other than saline) but would like to try anti-allergy medication such as antihistamine. Yet I’ve read that “A few common stimulating

methadone or buprenorphine
After augmentation and the horrors of withdrawal, I started on methadone in Feb this year and have titrated slowly up to 7.5 mg . I am now sleeping around 5-7 hours per night but very broken sleep with breakthrough RLS during the night. I think I may still be feeling some effects of augmentation. On

Mildly Burning After Withdrawing From Neupro
Hi All, As I have posted before, recently I withdrew from Neupro with the help of Buprenorphine. It has been 6 weeks now without any dopamine agonist and my experience has been overwhelmingly positive. Unfortunately, issues have come up recently that I thought someone might be able shine some light

Triggers
If I do everything right--which I don't know exactly what that is--I will have a great sleep with my current pregabalin/morphine routine. BUT, not for not trying, I can't figure out my triggers well enough, or, I guess, it could be that I just don't have PLMs every night (although I did before I got

Hate to do this so soon after my last one, but this is just rich Remember to keep your common sense
I know, and of course if you don't want to read it, don't. On one level this is just too funny. Then you start, perhaps unwisely, reflecting. Items 1-4. 1. https://retractionwatch.com/2020/10/29/amulets-may-prevent-covid-19-says-a-paper-in-elsevier-journal-they-dont/ 2. https://retractionwatch.com

Insomnia
I experienced intense insomnia on Ropinirole. I actually did not sleep at all when I took this medicine and also experienced headaches and confusion. It was definitely not for me. I would much rather suffer from Restless Leg Syndrome than deal with the side effects of Ropinirole.

Dipyridamole didn't work for me
I was hoping to be able to come off buprenorphine so that my digestive system could return to normal, and was excited to learn about dipyridamole on this site. Several studies show that it is effective for RLS. I started with 75mg night one, then 150, and 225mg on night 3. I removed my buprenorphine

RLS worse after knee replacement
I've taken Pramipexole for a long time and it's worked. However, after recent knee replacement surgery (7th Feb), the RLS is driving me mad. I'm up every night after 1 or 2 hours' sleep and end up taking an opioid to settle it.Can the pain from the knee be causing it? Any advice welcome.

Pramipexole withdrawal or...?
After a year long break from 10 years on .25mg pramipexole (stopped because of augmentation), I started taking .25mg pramipexole again to help me get through until an upcoming appointment with a neurologist. I was on .25mg pramipexole for a total of 17 days. After my appointment I reduced the pramipexole

Buprenorphine @ 2 weeks, issues
Hi, I've been on buprenorphine (suboxone 2.0mg as i'm in USA) for little more than 2 weeks. This is after augmenting on pramipexole, getting off that last year, and having some moderate but transient response to IV Iron 5 mos ago that has mostly gone away (despite my ferritin levels still being 300)

Had the ablation.
Monday I had the procedure under general anesthesia-safely and successfully. The did give IV cortef at the start of the procedure. Since they needed to intubate my throat is sore for days but my ears-especially the right one are achy. I was debating why aching now; pollen count is moderate, and my jaw

Trazodone
Hi , after trying very hard to navigate depression without drugs I have now just started Trazodone . Taking Gabapentin successfully, only mild RL . Had every dopamine drug for many years and now completely free of them for at least 6 months . My question is although Trazodone is deemed not to affect

update from Ruffabug (End of life plan)
A big thank you to those who kindly replied to my post of a couple weeks ago entitled HELP PLEASE TO REDUCE DOSE OF NEUPRO .To remind you I have terminal cancer with roughly six to nine months life expectancy. After reading your replies I decided not to try to reduce the Dopamine Agonist Receptor drugs

Advice sought on switching from Tramadol to THC/CBD
I'm on 50 - 100mg of tramadol a day and slowly getting augmentation. Started with 50mg and now I alternate nights at 100mg. I'm reluctant to go to 100mg everyday yet but most nights 50mg doesn't work great. My Dr has suggested I try a THC 10mg/CBD 10mg medication and stopping Tramadol, so I will give

A Natural Approach to Calming Restless Legs
I want to share my personal experience in the hope that it might benefit someone else. I was prescribed Ropinirole 2mg slow-release and Pramipexole 0.18mg for restless leg syndrome, but they were not very effective. I had rough nights, and at least once or twice a week, I had to take Tramadol 50mg
