Robaxin muscle relaxer possible trigger ?
I could use some advice. Iron infusion didn’t offer full coverage and my ferritin skyrocketed over 1,000 and has remained there. So that’s on hold. Vimpat/lacosamide worked well for a bit then got spotty. Methadone 5 mg at 10 pm and another 5 usually between 1 & 3 am was working well. So the doctor

Hello Everyone
Hello, I'm Lauryn, and I recently joined this online forum. I am a mother and a woman in long-term recovery. I have been dealing with various mental health challenges, including ADHD. About a year ago, I enrolled in college, so I started taking medication for ADHD, which has been incredibly helpful.

Changing medication?
Our kiddo has been on Focalin for about four years now and has great success at school. We struggle so much in the mornings (prior to taking meds) , and it has been getting worse. Focalin comedown
My son (11) has been on Focalin XR for about 2 months (5mg the first month - no effect, and now 10mg). We've noticed that around 7pm, he often can get super down and sad. It's not every night, but it's at least a couple times a week. Sometimes he can identify something bothering him, but other times

Stopping Focalin cause DD says it’s makes her grumpy
My daughter (13) has been taking Focalin for about a year on school days for adhd Inattentive type. Her main issue is forgetfulness: forgetting assignments, and forgetting where she puts stuff. She’s nearly always missing something like a sweatshirt, etc. Anyway, the medicine doesn’t make a noticeable

Zoloft + Focalin for our 8 year old?

Hi! Does anyone have a child taking Zoloft? My almost 12 yo son takes Focalin xr plus 100 mg of Zoloft for anger/anxiety/emotional outbursts. (He takes a very small does of Guanfacine at night but I don’t know that it does much) Lately his attitude is very crabby/cranky/angry. I know hormones can affect

8 yr Old Focalin = increased impulsivity
Hi everyone, I finally got my wife to get our son on a stimulant, Focalin, but it increased his impulsivity; we noticed and so did his teacher. He was on Focalin for 2 weeks and then we noticed a large increase in impulsivity. He has been off it for 3 weeks and the impulsivity is much less being off

Adderall and night waking
Hi! We recently switched my son from Focalin to Adderall. This is the first time switching from methylphenidate to amphetamine for him. He has always been a pretty good sleeper. Since starting the Adderall he can fall asleep fine but has each night woken at midnight and again around 4am. Not hyperactive

Gutted and alone
I found CHADD at 3am this morning and decided to post here as a bit of therapy to a group that may just "get it". I'm as low as I've ever been. I love my children fiercely but motherhood is uncomfortable sometimes, to say the least. My 13yo son was diagnosed 5 years ago with ADD. He's also tested as

an immobile mess
Firstly let me apologise the the lengthy post my mood is rock bottom right now and I need a safe space to air everything! I should also note I'm in the UK so a lot of the medical services are very different than what I would get quite easily in the US . I have suffered with bouts of lower back and hip

ADHD/ADD/ODD
Hello all! I have a 7 year old stepson who we had tested for ADD. When the results came back that he had combined ADHD and ODD. He started on Focalin 5 mg in May and we seen a great improvement in school. We chose not to give him anything at home because we felt as though we could handle the behaviors

Generic Vyvanse
Has anyone switched to this yet, who was previously on the brand name version? If so, does it work similar to the brand name in terms of efficacy? Any different side effects? Is the texture similar when you go to mix it with yogurt, etc? My daughter has been on brand name Vyvanse for a few years now

Medication for son
My 13 year old has been on focalin er for years which has been great for him. But lately we've been struggling with behavior. I finally got him in with a psychiatrist but he said what my son is experiencing is up to him to control and that medication is more for focus and because he is a straight A

Having trouble with right med combo for 11 year old son.
Our son was diagnosed with ADHD in December 2022. We started behavioral therapy (DBT training) in January 2022 and also recently started ADHD meds in April 2022. Irritability in the evenings
I have always had a hard time transitioning from work to home. Even before I had kids, I would have to decompress before I could even talk to my husband. With kids, it’s worse because I just have to jump into being with them, making dinner, laundry etc. I have built in a little break for myself that

Exhausted..
Good morning, New member & I have seen more helpful information here than I’ve been able to find anywhere else! To start, my son is 6 and we have started the medication journey & it’s been nothing short of eventful. Focalin XR low dose increased to 15 mg and then 5 mg at lunch, worked for a week and

New ADHD diagnosis for my 6 year old girl
My little girl is newly diagnosed with ADHD though I’m not that shocked. The past year of school has been incredibly challenging: hitting the teacher, explosive emotions, easily frustrated, highly impulsive. This school year started and after she headbutted the floor, I decided to consult a doctor. The

Positive results from Guanfacine ER 1 mg
My now 9 yr old daughter was diagnosed with ODD around age 5 (took the Vanderbilt test), but did not take any medications.
