Ciprofloxacin Horror!
My
cipro
was never mentioned. To cut a very long story short. I have been in agony for a year with chronic pain. I had a HA in February and a stent again no one questioned why I was on this medication. I have just read by complete chance, about its horrible side effects!

Switch from Azithromycin to Doxycycline
Hi, I have severe asthma and pseudomonas infection for which I’ve been put back on Colomycin nebs following an infection that wouldn’t resolve, but did after I asked my GP if we could try a course of
cipro
(they didn’t try that first as sputum sample didn’t show pseudomonas).

After Active Surveillance since 2013, time to explore treatment options
Almost went sepsis, because they had me on
CIPRO
, and the e-coli infection was resistant to fluoroquinolones. From that experience, I decided to avoid TRUS biopsies hence forward. I also changed my urologist, and moved to a comprehensive center.

My MSK Precise / SBRT Journey Begins
I have to take
Cipro
every 12 hours. Actually, the "toughest" part of this procedure was the waiting -- I was there pretty early and prepped in a room, but then had to wait a bit, and, of course, that felt like an eternity.

What to expect, hospital IV antibiotics for lung pseudomonas aeruginosa?
Hi All, looks like the
cipro
hasn’t wiped out the p aeruginosa so doc wants to get me in hospital for IV treatment. He said a few days to a week stay? Can anyone please share if they have done this and what to expect? J

Seeking some advice, p aeruginosa.
Currently on
cipro
for Pseudomonas aeruginosa infection (I’m new with this). Does this make me vulnerable to other respiratory health dangers when out in public? If so what protective measures would you take?

New Member Scouting for answers; To radiate now or not
Suggested that elevated PSA could be from inflammation so he put me on an antibiotic (
Cipro
) for 30 days, had both a bone and a soft tissue CT scan to look for Metastasis during that period, both came up negative. Now know they were not strong enough to give good info.

Fluoroquinolone warning on heart valves on NHS web site
I had two later prostate infections and was prescribed a Fluoroquinolone one time and
Cipro
the next. Each time the tendonitis came back and I quickly stopped it.

General health background
I cannot explain why, but I have recurrent UTI, 3 total(I'm on
Cipro
for E Coli now) since RARP. Never never had UTI before! I have to say the healing postopt was less than ideal. Occasionally I do experience a stinging sensation mid-urethra while urinating. Migrating staple?

When would I start to feel better?
The doctor said at first it was epididymo-orchitis, she gave me
cipro
as I weren’t sexually active so it was impossible for me to have an STD. They arranged a scan and managed to get it on the same day. The report said ’Both testes are symmetrical in size, echotexture and vascularity.

Questions for the RO for my upcoming video conference regarding options for early salvage treatment (and ADT) after Radical Prostatectomy?
Took medication for infection (Flomax and
Cipro
Adovart), finally went away. Learned how to self-catheterize in case needed to but never came back. Urologist did a DRE which was abnormal and prostate volume was 70 cc. PSA prior had been 5.8 so ordered biopsy.
