2nd PSA Post RP
I hesitated on starting Lupron and discussed with both the Oncologist and the Urology surgeon whether surgical
castration
would be appropriate. The decision was that I would wait for another PSA/Test bloodwork and that came back at PSA 3.9 and Testosterone 12.2.

Just read a private chat from 2 years ago...This was my reply. Lu-177 thoughts (then/now) and the reality of "life in Omaha"
This Lupron crap (
castration
) has to be the worse of the things we do...because we know it will NOT end...short of a miracle. Hence I keep plugging along and hoping for a miracle !

vs chemical
castration
. Pet scan shows spot on one lymph node and where urethra attached to bladder. Polaris was 5. Thanks

Why continue LUPRON when ADT not working?
I have
castration
resistant prostate cancer with a Testosterone level of 6. I am not sure why I am still taking Lupron when it is clearly not working? Ideas? Like everyone, I hate the side effects! Thanks in advance! History: Diagnosed at Stage 4 (2 years + 3 months ago).

Newly diagnosed post radical prostatectomy
I have requested surgical
castration
as opposed to meds, as even loading dose of oral bicalutemide floored me with fatigue and worsening arthritis and I want to still work and ride my Guzzi.

Beef & Mushrooms in a cream sauce over noodles....and Lu-177 thoughts...plus FoundationOne Testing
I was hoping the
castration
would give a boost and PSA would go down...instead it's only gone up since the surgery. I also just got another FoundationOne test done and I am awaiting the results on that....

Can Erleada/Apalutamide and Xtandi/Enzalutimide be used subsequently or is Xtandi ineffective after Erleada stops working?
If someone is
castration
sensitive and they start/use Erleada until it stops controlling the PSA, is Xtandi usually effective to use following the Erleada, or will Xtandi be ineffective because it works in the same manner as the Erleada?
