Bisoprolol and Perindoporil
Does anyone take these two tablets after having
cardioversion
to keep them in nsr. My husband has a mechanical heart valve too. Cardiac consultant said it would help to put less strain on heart. Thanks

Hello, and advice needed
I have atrial fibrillation and will probably have to have
cardioversion
before my triple bypass to sort my coronary arteries. Is anyone able to give me advice on how to live day to day with the condition? I realise I have to take things gently as I still feel very tired

Updates - there's always something more...
Meds have been changed and the aim is now to get the atrial fibrillation under control and sorted (maybe with
cardioversion
in August) before they consider the triple CABG. Has anyone else had Hyperthyroidism develop after a heart attack?

Home From Hospital
Have afib and had abliation and
cardioversion
back in March. All started last December with afib. They think I had a bad sinus, asthma, or lung infection. Am wheezing, have some voice box damage and heart rate and bp very high. My rate and bp were good before all this.

Failed second cardioversion
I had my second
cardioversion
today and it didn’t work. I’m being referred to an EP. looking for advice on what to ask about abalation. What are the risk or rewards. This site has always had good advice. I am just completely disappointed about today. So any advice is welcomed.

Whilst we are in philosophical mode........
Cardioversion
- a relatively simple procedure to stop and restart the heart in seconds. It involves no intervention therefore the existing circuitry of the heart remains unchanged which I guess is why AF is likely to return at some time in the future.

Perindopril
My husband has seen consultant today following his
cardioversion
. As he has a mechanical heart valve he has been put on to perindopril 2mg to increase to 4mg if no side effects occur. Anyone else been prescribed this drug?

Un-diagonosed Sleep Apnea
A few months ago I posted a question about high blood pressure at night and getting up 4 or 5 times a night for the toilet. I have had PAF for 7 years and was changed to Sotalol following a couple of Cardioversions three years ago. I went to my doctors about 2 years ago concerned with my night time toilet

New to AF - not sure what happens next
Now I'm waiting to be contacted by the Cardio department to find out if I'm a suitable case for
cardioversion
. I've also made a private appointment to see my old heart consultant who diagnosed my leaky heart valve which was repaired 7 years ago.

Post cryoablation- anxiety
Hi, I had been diagnosed incidentally during a routine physical with AFib. I was on flecinaide and then had 2 cardioversions, one worked very briefly while on Amiodarone. I went back into NSR and then it converted on it's own. Month later, back in AFib. I guess I have drug resistant (Amiodarone) paroxysmal

Cardioversion
Was prescribed bosiprolol, and told
cardioversion
was likely. Went into hospital for a couple of weeks ago for an Echocardiogram, which had a normal heartbeat.

Greetings from the Coronary Care Unit
I was given extra meds and told if that didn't fix things he'd do a
cardioversion
in the morning. Thankfully in back in sinus rhythm and my HR is 63. I'm grateful that I have awesome doctors, private health insurance and world class medical services close to home.
