I went into AF July 17 and had a
cardioversion
Jan 18, after which I stopped all meds but Apixaban. After recent breathlessness I've been prescribed Bisoprolol 5mg then saw a cardiologist who wasn't exactly a communicator.

Symptoms post cardioversion
I had my first ever electrical
cardioversion
2 days ago for an atrial flutter. All appeared to go well and my heart rate has been perfect since. However, I am finding myself in some discomfort when taking deep breaths since.

Twenty seven meds a day, sometimes more.
I have had AF halted by
cardioversion
20 months ago and no sign of it since (thankfully). Have pradaxa for that and was on maximum metoprolol before that.

I had a successful
cardioversion
recently (it took four attempts). For a week or so afterwards my ankles swelled up like puddings. I wonder if anyone has experienced this?

Antiarrhthmic drugs working great, but scheduled for ablation
They started him on the antiarrhythmic drug Dofetilide (Tikosyn) , in the hope that his heart would convert to NSR but it didn't, so after three days he had a
cardioversion
which worked, and he continued on the Dofetilide.

I felt so smug....
Is the pill in the pocket a gradual thing or does it literally kick in back to normal rhythm like a
Cardioversion
?

Cardioversion and ablation
One way is, presumably, by
cardioversion
. Does anyone know how frequently this is done during ablations?

Very worried.
Cardioversion
has been mentioned as a possible treatment but this also worries me as it’s basically the same as being defibed . Has anybody had this treatment, what are the pros and cons. Should I be worried about my long term heart health, is it something that can be treated and corrected.

Month to the day post ablation and got ? Ectopics. N High BP, lasting more than an hour. V scared the AF was back with bells on.
Last night BP was 140/110 and pulse up to 150 N irratic So relieved seems ok today, after my first
cardioversion
that lasted approx 4hrs, then AF persistent ever since till my ablation 10th July. This sound similar to others ?

Worried about other half
So after being diagnosed with AF and unsuccessful
cardioversion
, OH has taken Amiodarone for 18 months prior to ablation last November. Following ablation, he suffered with digestive problems.

Gender Differences in Treating AF - what women should know.

Is this possible???
Had my first
cardioversion
back in June with no success. I was then prescribed Amiodarone and booked in for a further
cardioversion
in August. We came away on 13th July to Spain as planned.

Flecainide dose
Since the
cardioversion
I have been having some ectopic heart beats . On return home my GP has recommended I increase the flecainide to 100 mg twice daily until I see cardiologist . Does anyone take this dose of flecainide. I am worried about side effects on the higher dose

Amiodarone - increased sensitivity to sunlight ?
Hi After a recent
cardioversion
that failed after four days, I am now scheduled for another in mid September. Before that I am to start on an antiarrhythmic drug, which if well tolerated will continue after the next
cardioversion
in the hope that it helps my heart stay in sinus.

3rd Ablation Friday
Well I went into a flutter again on Tuesday and had to have a
cardioversion
Wednesday. I went in for a new EP since I had a Cardiac Tamponade and other problems with my last EP. I was told that The flutter will comeback and I opted for another ablation.
