Saw NHS cardiologist yesterday after 8 week wait and feeling awful in between he agreed to change diltiazem to nebivolo 2.5 mg + apaxiban 5mg x2 to see if that helps meanwhile reccomending a cardioversion although I have none of the the usual symptoms- just extreme tiredness this will be another 6/8 week wait I checked to go private and it’s £3000 so let’s hope the change of tablets gets me through all this - best wishes

Wishing you all the best. It varies across the country...our wait is 12 weeks to see cardio or ep and 12 to 18 months fir ablation.

I hope the meds kick in soon. I expect you are trying to avoid triggers and perhaps trying relaxation..?

12 weeks here in Hampshire. My appointment mid-November

It is frustrating having to wait for treatment on the NHS but patients taking warfarin have to be in range for 4 weeks prior to having an ablation so in the scheme of things your wait period is not too unusual. Be absolutely sure you do not miss taking your anticoagulant during the 4 weeks before the CV and if you do, resist the temptation to resort to porkies because the consequences can be life threatening at worst....hope you get some improvement with the change in medication.......
