Failed Cardioversion
Had my first
cardioversion
today and it failed completely even though they tried three times. Have now had my medication changed to what they call the chemical route. Amiodarone 200 mg and Rivaroxaban 20 mg whilst still continuing with Diltiazem. 180 mg and Nebivolol. 5 mg.

& eliquis 2x 5mg and I feel even more tired and “ running on empty “ all the time plus heavy in the head - quite awful really and strangely enough I don’t experience any AF symptoms palpitations heart thumping etc etc just this awful lethargy - a cardiologist confirms that I have AF and recommends

6 Month Cardiologist Check Up Today
As you know, I’m in NSR from January this year after
cardioversion
. I suppose I could say I feel a little deflated as the Dr said he still wants me to have an ablation.... I have to carry on with the drugs and go on the waiting list for an ablation. He said he doesn’t think I’ll stay in NSR....

ALC Dropping Fast
Also, I had an Afib event and had
cardioversion
to get back in rhythm. Even before I reached full dose of Venetoclax my white count and ALC were falling fast. After a three weeks at 300mg my ALC has dropped to 1 and I am not sure it has stopped. My Hg is 12.5 and platelets 125.

Spontaneous cardioversion
Still went to the hospital for the
cardioversion
. They hooked me up to the ECG and yep - I somehow after almost 10 days I naturally reverted. Hoping it sticks. Bumping up the flecainide dose, lower stress, better diet and easier exercise routine seem to have done the trick.

Last week I had
cardioversion
#7 and have been back on flecainide and a beta blocker. Since then I have had this sensation in my chest which is similar to the after effects of bronchospasm.

Echocardiogram tomorrow...
I had my
Cardioversion
on January 17th 2019. I went back into NSR and have been there ever since! I still take the drugs, no issues with that. I’ve changed my lifestyle and now am looking forward to seeing the Cardiologist next week.

Starting Digoxin
They did a
cardioversion
but it didn't take. Now they're talking about ablation then to try the
cardioversion
again. In the meantime, they've added Digoxin to the soup. Wow, text book side effects.

Breathlessness
I’ve had a ‘successful’
CardioVersion
(the recovery from the general anaesthetic was very slow). I’m waiting for an ablation hopefully in July. My problem is since the procedure I’ve had chronic breathlessness - I can’t walk 25 yards without stopping and leaning on something.

6 weeks and counting ! Flec AND verapamil anyone ?
I`m chuffed ;-) It`s exactly 6 weeks today I had my
cardioversion
. I`m still in NR - back of the net. I think the 200mg flecainide dose is helping me stay in sinus. Here`s the thing though - I`m seeing my cardiologist on Monday for the 'follow up' appointment.

Restoring Hearth Rhythm through drugs - is it a gradual process?
I understand that if
cardioversion
restores NSR it does so instantly, my main question refers to any restoration of NSR through drugs, 'natural' or other. Is this normally a gradual process? Following from this are there degrees of irregularity?

Looking for advice on EP visit and next steps
I had my first non-converting episode of AF back in July 2017 when I was 27 years old, in which I eventually needed
cardioversion
to get converted back to sinus rhythm. I've since been on 120mg Cartia XT (diltiazem) extended release daily.

Atrial flutter
While an inpatient, the cardiologists decided that I should have the
cardioversion
straight away. It was performed on Tuesday this week. What I'm not sure about is my current situation, after the
cardioversion
.

I had an electrical
cardioversion
on Wednesday too, & while the staff were sympathetic, no-one seemed overly concerned. I'm at a loss as to what to do next. Thanks in advance for any help you may be able to give me.

After Cardioversion
After echo they brought me back yesterday for a
cardioversion
. Initially fine but 11 hours later back in Afib / flutter. My question is: does this definitely mean that it has not worked or is there still a chance? Many thanks again to you all for your support.
