Yesterday was a surprising day
They wanted to make sure I was clear of blood clots tumors etc. before they did the
cardioversion
. Well I’ll cut to the chase.

Amiodarone
I’m due to have a
Cardioversion
on 5 Nov and Cardiologist seemed to infer the Amiodarone was in preparation for that. I talked to my GP who said to continue taking it and Bisopropol but I’m now feeling that can’t be right…. Looking for input on long term use of the above drug.

Cardioversion
My consultant is recommending
cardioversion
as the next step in my AF treatment, primarily in order that I can stop taking bisoprolol as this appears to be impacting on my asthma. Has anyone experience of this procedure, success rates, issues with it etc?

Amiodarone
The consultant is proposing this drug followed by
cardioversion
if necessary. What are the common side effects?

I’m in persistent af, had
cardioversion
a yr ago which only lasted 2 mths. Just wondering is anyone else waiting or recently had an ablation with general anaesthetic at the LCC, & how long have you waited.

Met my new cardiologist today I think I like him
I don’t have any questions to ask I’m sure all of you at one time or another have felt like I do right now and whether the
cardioversion
will work or not we won’t know until we know. I’m glad to be in here with this group because others just don’t get it when it comes to a fib.

Can a med be cause this reaction
I had a
cardioversion
and returned to sinus rhythm. I was put on Eliquis and Diltiazem in Dec 2020. Since that time if I get hot my skin becomes very prickly like someone is snapping elastics all over my body.

As I have posted before I had a
cardioversion
then on amidorone for 7 months then I came off them.I know some members have had bad experience with amidorone but it worked for me. I only had one week to go and I would of been in NSR for one year and I felt good.

My cardiologist’s instructions on taking beta blockers
I’m in persistent AFib and awaiting my 2nd
cardioversion
. I too was only taking my beta blocker when my heart rate was raised significantly. WRONG! said the Cardiologist last week (he seemed exasperated) .

More decisions!!
I've moved to persistent AF and a
cardioversion
would be pointless. I keep self converting the back to AF. Sob. So options are... Live with it as long as my rate comes down to the 80s, so will be trying Digoxin after my holiday in Norfolk.
