How long should you take 200mg as I’m 14 weeks in and my GP has said he would prefer me to come off it and stay with Brisopel only and the anti clot tablet
I have non persistent AF maybe 3 times a week for 15 mins
I have no cardio specialist at the moment to ask as it’s a long story but I have been kind of lost inthe system I believe for example my cardioversion was cancelled in august and my next appointment isn’t to February next year 6 months after the original cardioversion date . i have had a monitor for 24 hours since but no appointments booked

I would try to come off it if you can. I was on it for nearly 2years to try to control my AF. It worked for a while but now I am in permanent AF. I take Tildiem to keep my heart rate down which has been successful. Amiodorone has caused peripheral neuropathy in my lower legs which causes a burning sensation at night due to damaged nerves . I now take Gabapentin for the pain.IAmiodorone is probably OK for the short term. I got lost in the system too because of the pandemic and shouldn’t have been on it so long. I should follow the advice of your GP. Hope all goes well
I can only use my own experience to go on. I am sure not everyone will have side effects. We are all different but I would be inclined to err on the side of caution. Bisoprolol has fewer side effects.
