It is most likely just bad luck that we got CLL
The other nine types, including colorectal cancer, skin cancer known as basal cell
carcinoma
and smoking-related lung cancer, were more heavily influenced by heredity and environmental factors like risky behavior or exposure to carcinogens.

Total thyroidectomy soon...
Initially the biopsy said that it could be follicular Lab results showed three nodules largest one 12mm and a papillary
carcinoma
wondering why one minute it was thought to be follicular now it's seen to be papillary. I remember reading somewhere about rare forms of it and was a bit scared.

FNA pros and cons
As a bit of background, I had a partial thyroidectomy in May, and a follicular
carcinoma
was found in the removed part. No further cancers were found after the TT. I've been on 60mcg T3 since, and been pretty well. Many thanks.

My mother was diagnosed with metastatic
carcinoma
left breast this January. After six cycles of chemo TCH her pet scan was done. Everything came out clear. And then surgery was performed and the tumor was completely removed.

He was recently also diagnosed with Merkel Cell
carcinoma
on his face. He had surgery to remove the tumor and 6 weeks of radiation. About 3 weeks after the radiation ended, the Merkel Cell reoccurred, about an inch higher on his temple.

Did you know whether you had Barrett's Oesophagus before being diagnosed with cancer?
The issue is relevant for adenocarcinoma (about 70% of UK oesophageal cancer cases) but not nearly so much for squamous cell
carcinoma

3 yrs Post Thyroidectomy and can't lose weight, why?
I was diagnosed when i was 25 with papillary thyroid
carcinoma
. Since then, my weight gain has been excessive. I'm on 212mcg synthroid and in the past year my doctor has bumped me up as high as 250mcg and as low as 175mcg. it's on the upward slope again. My TSH level back in January was .0125.
