Hair today. Gone tomorrow
Hello everyone. I am on a 12 week course of Taxol. I finished my 3rd treatment yesterday. I woke up last night shedding hair all over my pillow and today I have been moulting like a Cat. How long will take for it all to go.....and will it speed up a bit ? This is the part of chemo I've been dreading.

Third time UNlucky……..
Third time UNlucky…….. Just been told today that my CA-125 is up again at 235. I have a consultant appointment next week but just wondered if any of you lovely ladies had any words of wisdom for third line treatment? What did you have and have you managed a period of remission after third line treatment

Herceptin anyone ?
Hello again everyone. I have just started weekly Taxol (HER +, ER neg ,Grade 2 ,stage 1/2 lobular ) I was going to have Herceptin at the same time but they have decided I need another heart scan first. I am apparently borderline for having it. I have been reading a lot of conflicting comments about Herceptin

Medication before Taxol
Hi still suffering with blocked bowel and daily sickness. Just praying it will get better. Fed up of spending every night on the sofa because I can't lie down. However just wanted some advice on Taxol. The last two sessions I have had I seem to have had a bad reaction to the medications they give me

MRI results
Hello everyone. So I went for the results of the MRI Dr. Says he suspects the OC has spread to my liver but needs to confirm it with a biopsy. I was not prepared for that. I was expecting to hear it's just scar tissue or a bad scan. I am trying to be brave but I'm truly terrified . The first round

Monitoring
I’m post chemo
Carbo
/
Taxol
which I finished end of August. My CT showed no residual disease in September. I’m not sure if there is a standard protocol for continued monitoring but feeling anxious that I know nothing of how my disease could be progressing.

4 AC down, 1 Taxol down, 11 to go...
Can't believe I'm now over half way through chemo! The fourth AC hit me more than the previous ones, but they're done now and I had my first Taxol last week. So far so good - vague sensation of jaw aching at times but not much else. Although I had a massive dose of steroids with the first infusion and

Blocked bowel
I am on third line weekly taxol. Had third dose on Monday. Disappointing had to start this as finished Caelyx in October with good results. CA125 down to 219 which is good for me. Now 2319. In the two years since diagnosis never felt ill and been able to carry on with life and all exercise classes. Since

WFPB or LCHF - which is better for your health and halting the progression of atherosclerosis? Four years ago I had a heart bypass. Please help me girls to get out of this gloom
I knew in my heart that nothing was happening since I went on weekly
carbo
/avastin only but they won't give me
Taxol
or Taxotere again after what it did for me. Together with a load of stuff going on with other things I just needed a boost today and it hasn't come.

"You are stable" - well, I never expected to hear that today.
I'm carboplatin tolerant still so if there's an increase in the tumours in three month's time then I'll be straight back on
carbo
. He may even let me try a bit of
taxol
at a very low weekly dose if I insist but he said that the
taxol
isn't going to perform the way
carbo
does.

How to begin Long Wheat Grain Diet (LWMDR) the 1st time...
Dear members, I have one quick question : When starting consumption of LWMDR for the 1st time is surely going to increase the PPBS so how to deal with that part. What should I do if PPBS level hits high like +200 is that OK or what and will it come down by itself and/or for how many days will it remain

Chemotherapy, a Trusty Weapon Against Cancer, Falls Out of Favor
Interesting read from the Wall Street Journal: some oncologists are no longer recommending chemotherapy as a treatment option. What are your thoughts? Does the article resonate with you in any way? Full article below and here: http://on.wsj.com/2DOOX5y "Chemotherapy, a Trusty Weapon Against Cancer,
