Hi everyone,

I'll be starting carbo/caelyx next month 6 cycles for 1st recurrence. Does anyone know if this combo doesn't work, what will they offer to me next ?

Hi dear, i had the same regimen + bevasuzimab for 6 cycles after my surgery. After 3 months finishing it my oncologist put me on mirvetuximab (Elahere). It is a new drug for platinum resistant patients and tested positive for folate receptor alfa. I just received my 2nd dose last week. I’ll be tested for improvements in the coming weeks.

Hello. I am half way through this combination for my first recurrence. My thoughts were exactly the same as yours at the beginning! What’s next if this doesn’t work. I had some advice from a professional who helped me focus on the facts. You are having a gold standard treatment that’s a fact. We won’t know if it’s working till you have your mid point scan that’s a fact. When my mind wonders to the what ifs I come back to the facts. I’m well and have a great team behind me. They will do the best for me. All I can do is eat well, exercise and sleep. We have no control over the what ifs and that is a fact. Enjoy each day. Good luck xx
