Starting Chemo again, Cabazitaxel Has anybody experienced any side effects that have been unusually bad?
After having been NED for the past six years I now have to go back on Chemo treatments. The first round of Chemo was with Taxotere and now My Cancer has become castrate resistant. PSA is now no longer a good indicator for disease progression. I'm not looking forward to doing this but it's what has to

Elevated D-Dimmer
My father is waiting for the
Cabazitaxel
treatment. Due to some difficulties in getting the therapy he is with no therapy since April. His last round of Docetaxel ( 8 in total). However, his d-dimmer is started to get elevated.

My docetaxel experience so far
The NHS don't have much to offer treatment-wise after this - just
cabazitaxel
and that's it so I'll be self-funding anything after that.

Update on cabazitaxel
The Mayo says this type of bleeding does happen with
cabazitaxel
. I'd be interested in anyone's thoughts on how low we may be able to get with PSA on this chemo, and how durable it might be.

Docetaxel only partially successful
The recommendation is that we switch to
Cabazitaxel
(Q: Has anyone had experience - positive or negative - of switching?) 4. A single spot on the liver now has a friend - a tiny 2nd spot has appeared.

Cabazitaxel, can you return for a second round.
I was only on this chemo,
Cabazitaxel
, for three infusions, then was approved for Pluvicto . PSA was creeping up slowly during that time, from 63-141. Has anyone gone back to it and had success with 8-10 infusions?

Sadly Pluvicto did not work ...
My Dr at Moffitt wants to start me on
Cabazitaxel
, while Dr. Kwon at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester wants me to start a Platinum based chemo.. While I still feel pretty good...Time is running out and I would like to get as much time and QOL as I can. Any Input would be greatly appreciated.

Does anyone have experience with side effects from Jevtana )

repost - cancer progression - next steps?
Since the cancer is showing radiographic progression on xtandi and eligard will his next option here most likely be another round of chemo (a different one such as
cabazitaxel
) or would lutetium Lu-177 be a possible option for him? Or what would potential other options be?

SE's on Cabazitaxel/Carboplatin Combo
Fellow chemo warriors: I'm hoping your experiences can shed some light on my latest treatment variation. Long story short: I had 3 docetaxel infusions with zero side effects. Unfortunately, the response was only partial, so last week I started on Cab/Carboplatin combo. This has been a very different

Cabazitaxel or Phase 1 drug trial
Royal Marsden recommends
Cabazitaxel
back at my local hospital. (I don't have the mutations for Oliparib). Can anyone give me guidance please on which option to choose. This is the NHS in the UK so very limited other choices. Many thanks

Cabazitaxel plus carboplatin
Orme, have suggested chemo with
cabazitaxel
combined with carboplatin as a possible next step. This would probably be done in Cyprus, where I live. I'd welcome thoughts on side effects and how durable the treatment is likely to be.

Are there options past Pluvicto?
He was diagnosed last year, and over the last 15 months he has endured ADT, Zytiga, Docetaxel (6 cycles),
Cabazitaxel
(four cycles before it failed), and now Xtandi and Pluvicto (and a bone strenghtener). I have added a more detailed medical history in my bio.

Order of treatment?
Having waited for 6 weeks to have a biopsy and get the results for neuroendocrine PC (he didn’t have it) his oncologist has said he can either have another chemo (
Cabazitaxel
or Carboplatin) or Radium 223.

Xtandi is failing
I see my MO in a couple of weeks when I expect to be prescribed
Cabazitaxel
. The main good news is so far my PCa symptoms are more irritating than serious. In 2018 my main disease symptom was bladder control and today my main disease symptom is still bladder control.

Any coming back from this?
April 2023: Received second cycle of
cabazitaxel
chemotherapy with a dose reduction. MRI spine showed mild posterior epidural tumor at L2 and soft tissue masses in the right ilium. Progression in some areas observed on CT scan.

Phase II 2020-0200 Clinical Trial
Cabazitaxel
, Carboplatin, and Cetrelimab Followed by Niraparib With or Without Cetrelimab for the Treatment of Aggressive Variant Metastatic Prostate Cancer. I'm curious if anyone has knowledge of this trial, is also taking part in this trial or took part in Phase I.

Moving on...to olaparib
I recently updated to ask about chemo options, mainly
cabazitaxel
with or without carboplatin, or a second round of docetaxel, this time with carboplatin. I had been discussing these with my Mayo doctors, Kwon and Orme. Then earlier this week, Dr.
