Buprenorphine

I have refractory RLS and am on 2.5 microgram/hour Buprenorphine transdermal patch and one 5mg tablet Methodone daily. I am due to get a basal skin cancer removed on Tuesday next under local anaesthetic.

Hello all I take 0.800 mcgs of Buprenorphine for RL and R, arms. This works well for me in 'covering' my RLS. I have had very poor sleep for the last 30 years, ever since my thyroid stopped working and my Restless legs increased in severity, (post partom). Buprenorphine makes my insomnia worse.

Fed up and suicidal Earlier this year I stopped taking Buprenorphine 10mg patch as felt it was not helping and within 24 hours all bowel problems disappeared. However back on normal meds co- codamol, Metformin ‘ lisinopril andRosivasttin.

I am just wondering if anyone else has tried Buprenorphine and had the same thing or other side effects from using it? Do they ease the longer you use the patches for? Many thanks

However, my GP has told me to take the anti nausea medication alongside the buprenorphine from the outset and to slowly taper the ropinirole. Does anybody have any advice that would be helpful at this critical time?

I’m hoping that I can either take an extra 75 mg of Pregabalin (or more if my ultimate dose is more than 150) or some buprenorphine. Wondering what other people do?

I presumed that I had the RLS that needed buprenorphine or methadone, can't think of the name of it, which cannot be prescribed in Greece, where I live. In desperation I tried Gabapentin, thinking it was the same as Pregabalin, but thank God that I did as it seems to be working.

Hi everyone, well after months of no sleep and severe PLMD night and day and a reverse shoulder replacement op, my husband has finally been able to get BUP SUBLINGUAL prescribed. 0.4 twice a day. First 4 days were great, first sleep in forever!! Then the PLMD came back and no sleep for last 2 nights,

I asked my GP for buprenorphine. He gave me co-codamol. Does anyone have any personal experience of this opioid? I'm not in pain, but have PLMD. I'd love to know if anyone has used co-codamol - and how they took it - and what their experience of it has been.

It’s also clear that the Buprenorphine dosage is relative to the amount of Zopiclone I’m allowed to take (max 2 x 7.5 mg/night). Because of Buprenorphine, I also experience severe daytime depression and severe sweats both day and night.

Hi, I have recently been prescribed buprenorphine 10mcg patches and also pregablin for the nerve pain I wonder if anyone has any positive experiences with pregablin and what dosage did you take? How long does it take to work? Many thanks

Also known as Buprenorphine and Naloxone 2 mg/0.5 mg. It is a sublingual film that I put under my tongue. It was life changing. My first dose was at noon, and I slept all night with no kicking. It was nothing short of amazing. Life was worth living again.

Now if my GPs agree with my request I then get to see Dr Fracknell and if he agrees to prescribe either Methadone or Buprenorphine he presumably can give me an initial prescription on a trial basis but in the end I’ll still need a GP in my home town to continue providing me with that prescription.

Today is the 3rd full day of the Buprenorphine patch and I think that it's beginning to help but I'm reserving judgement till the morning! Wishing you all a better and happier New Year.Love and best wishes to all, Danni x

I took buprenorphine in the past and had problems with Nausea and constipation. I didn't like it very much but after the last 8weeks of hell it is starting to look more attractive! Any advice about this would be most welcome.One last question. Is pregabalin better than Gabapentin?
