Fostair and Levothyroxine Interactions?
Been prescribed levothyroxine 50mcg daily for hypothyroidism. Noticed that the leaflet for Fostair and Levothyroxine both show a possible warning for taking both of them together. The fostair leaflet says this... Medicines for treating Parkinsons disease (L-dopa), to treat an underactive thyroid gland

Steroid comparison. Budesonide vs. others for effectiveness
Helping my nephew who has been prescribed a time released Budesonide steroid for his Crohns. He was shocked by the sticker price of over $2000 copay with insurance. That blows his budget so we are looking at options to compare effectiveness. Questions: 1- Is this the typical price for Budesinide

Has anybody fond Formoterol Oxis etc to be better with less reflux or indigestion?
I'm trying to find a reliever that is less of a problem for reflux and wondered how if anyone has has found formoterol to be better? I have tried the combination Seretide, Ventolin and Serevent and they all give me really bad reflux. I'm on a PPI etc but it only makes it just about bearable.

Change of Medication
I'm an asthmatic from birth and have been using a Bricanyl Turbohaler 0.5mg/dose for many years but recently my repeat prescription returned an Easyhaler Budesonide 400mcg/dose, without warning. I've tried using the Easyhaler but it gives me a sore throat and I don't feel as "relieved" as I used to with

Severe attack
Sent home with chlorphenamine and
budesonide
/
formoterol
. Instant reaction to the steroids pain in elbows, feeling of lump on throat and scratchy sensation, difficulty swallowing and wheeze, feeling very drowsy, like lungs on fire and very heavy, BP down from my normal 150/90 average to 121/70.

How do you get a good review?! General moan...
Hi all, I've had asthma for about 10 years and have never had a good review. The worst include being sent away because it was a computer error and being told to lose weight to cure asthma (I had a BMI of 17 at the time....). Anyway, I had a review yesterday after waiting 2 months for an appt and running

Inhaler vs nebulizer
I am curious if any if you are using just a nebulizer instead if inhaler. I have new pulmo doctor and he has me using a nebulizer with Brovana, Budesonide & Ipratroplum Bromide. I have emphysema and have been struggling last couple years ending up in ER or hospital. The nebulizer is not that convenient

New Medicine
I am in Italy and a friend with Crohn's told me about a new medicine called Cortiment 9mg, Budesonide. It is a class of corticosteriods. He says it has very little side effects. Has anyone ever heard of this and could it be used to treat PMR? I am currently on 6 mgs of Medrol and would love to lose all

Your Meds (Strong Recommendation)
Hi I have a 'strong' recommendation for you, but first an explanation. In addition to reading the Patient Information Leaflet, I've now taken to checking the Drugs.com Website for each Med I'm prescribed. As you may know, Drug Interactions, Incorrect Drug Doses, Patient Drug Errors, Wrongly Prescribed

Antihistamine with asthma meds
Hello everyone I have just started taking budesonide morning & night. I use ventolin as well when needed. The weather here in the south of Spain is warming up & the flowers are starting to bloom, a sign of Spring. I am allergic to pollen. Can I take histamines while also taking the asthma meds? Thanks

Just diagnosed with moderate COPD
This is my first post and wanted to join a community where I could get information about COPD. I am 77 years old and was first told by the VA that I had emphysema. This was about 20 years ago. They put me on some meds and and then I was put on Respimat, Combivent Respimat and albuterol rescue inhaler
