Thank You and update
Hence the need for a lung biopsy, and
bronchoscopy
. At this point I am not panicking as I am sure there is a innocent reason abd nothing nasty is going on. Having said that it is always at the back of your mind.

Finally had my bronchoscopy this morning!
Well I have to wait for the results to come back but I recall hearing the guy that was doing it say "it was clear" so I then asked the nurse just to verify what I had heard and she said also the same thing. It seems or at least I'm hoping so that the "shadow" on the lung whatever it was has actually

Dad diognosed with lung cancer.
He went for a CT scan and had a
bronchoscopy
. The results were that he has lung cancer and it is close to he's heart so they can't operate. Theres another hospital appointment coming up where they're going explain everything to him and will start a course of chemo and radiotherapy.

I went for a spirometric test at my local GP......
To say that I'm angry is a bit of an understatement and my psoriasis is now really really sore and getting worse because of my anger :( I am currently still trying to calm down and have a date for my
bronchoscopy
which will be the 3rd of July.

Am I being silly?
He had brochoscopy, Pet scan, another
bronchoscopy
and was referred to Papworth where he was told removal of lung was a curative option. Surgeon wanted to do exploratory first which he did, then two weeks later husband went in to have lung out.

Whole brain radiation?
An adenocarcinoma has been confirmed at
bronchoscopy
/biopsy, but unfortuately a CT scan has shown 2rys throughout both lungs, but more worryingly in his brain. The oncologist is also suspicious of a couple of area in Dad's spine - due MRI next week & if confirmed will irradiate these areas.

When he was little they did a

hospital admission
We saw his consultant who has decided that he wants Sean admitted today for 1-2 weeks for complete change of meds and a
bronchoscopy
and ph study. He felt it was far safer to do the changes as an in patient as Sean has been having severe attacks where his sats have been dropping to 72% .

New- Son recovering from severe acute intractable asthma requiring ventilation and dnase
His condition deteriorated rapidly and a retrieval team was sent from St Thomas and he was taken to their PICu where he was intubated, ventilated, had a
bronchoscopy
and was given the drug Dnase directly into his lungs. He thankfully turned the corner after 3 days in PICU.

So confused! Please help!
Just got the final result through from Maddies
bronchoscopy
. It shows aspirated food on her lungs! She had a PH study done a few months ago which showed no reflux so why now does it show aspirated food on lungs?

What comes next?
My 4 year old daughter had a bronchial lavage and a
bronchoscopy
this past week. This is her second one. According to our consultant's at Addenbrookes and Prof Bush from the RBH, she is on the maximum doses of all of her medications and she is nowhere near under control.

Scared!
Then today I got a call from the hospital saying she has been booked in for
bronchoscopy
and ct scan, both under general anaesthetic, next Tuesday! I'm scared! Not only is she my baby, aged just 2, she's got poorly lungs, her SATs never get above 92, even when well.
