How was your experience with the healthcare system during treatment for endometrial cancer? Were you satisfied with your treatment team?
They were all incredible professionals who were with me all the way through surgery,
brachytherapy
and chemotherapy and beyond. While the treatment aspect was difficult, I had a great experience with these physicians and never had any concerns about the care I was given. They were the best.

Optimal Management of a Man With Recurrent Prostate Cancer
He underwent
brachytherapy
with a PSA nadir of 2-3 ng/ml. PSA gradually increased to 10 ng/ml by 2017. He was asymptomatic and imaging with CT and bone scan were negative, so his team opted to continue monitoring PSA. Ultimately he presented again in 2020 with PSA of 42 ng/ml.

Gleason 6, PSA low but biopsy sectors increased
Urologist recommends
brachytherapy
based on increased number of positive biopsy regions as "growth". Oddly, radiation oncologist, if forced to choose, recommends further Active Surveillance (AS). I'll be getting MRI and both germline and Decipher biopsy genotyping.

Types of radiation. Which is best for pelvic bone mets?
Brachytherapy
makes me nervous as it requires perfect execution it seems, and so that leaves ERBT which seems to have a few flavors including Proton. Any thoughts or experiences you could share would be much appreciated?

Any information about sensitivity to CT scans on parts of body that have been affected previously by Radiotherapy and Brachytherapy?
H all, I've not posted a question on here before but have responded to a post. I had Radiotherapy for cervical cancer 16 years ago and have had gastro problems helped by cholestagel, urinary and vaginal problems too. Two months ago I had to have CT scans for investigation. I hadn't realised they were

Interesting Study on Brachytherapy Boost combined with EBR.
Impact of High-Dose Rate and Low-Dose Rate

Best ways for dealing with ADT side effects?
Had external beam radiation (EBRT) and a high dose
brachytherapy
(HDRT) boost late 2019 and early 2020 last year. Total biological equivalent dosage (BED) was > 200. PSA is undetectable at this point and has been so since the HDRT.

I've had consults with the surgery department and the radiology departments (not yet with
brachytherapy
- not sure why! Old technology maybe?) Both say their results are best. Leaving it up to me to decide which direction to go.

Prostate Cancer Second Time
I had
brachytherapy
10 years ago and have been happy with it. I had a Gleason score of 3+3 and it was confined to the prostate. In last couple years my PSA has started climbing again. I had a bone scan and an ultrasound and no cancer was found other than my prostate.

4 months with painful urination after brachytherapy
I had LDR
brachytherapy
4 months ago for prostate cancer. I am still having incredible pain when I pee, urgency and unable to empty my bladder even though I am on flomax. Has anyone else had this problem what did you do about it and does it get better as the radiation dies down

Cancer Recurrence After Radiation/Chemo
I had external beam radiation and
brachytherapy
in 2016, then chemo in 2019; 18 months after chemo and still undetectable PSA, a bone scan revealed a cancerous spinal lesion, which was radiated with five treatments in April, 2020. Even though PSA is still undetectable, we must continually monitor.

Travel after HDR brachytherapy?
I'm scheduled for 1-day HDR
brachytherapy
at UCSF, with Dr. Hsu. Can anyone tell me what to expect immediately after the procedure; will I feel like/be able to travel that day?
