Anyone done Fosamax and then tried Boniva?
Boniva
only comes in a 30 day in one pill supply. I am scared of taking that kind of dose. I can try actonel but I would have to pay for that myself. $14 a week.

Biphosphonates Questions
I’m 73 now, and my rheumatologist wants me on
Boniva
immediately. I do have trust in this new rheumatologist , but would like other’s opinions. My fear is having a weaker spine with Biphosphonates and thus fractures.

Ibandronic Acid
With aggravated osteoporosis my partner has been offered the choice of monthly doses of Bonviva or a six monthly injection. Which would be most effective to mitigate the osteoporosis while remaining compatible with an AF/pacemaker regime that includes Amias, Sotalol, Furosemide, and Apixaban?.

Recently Diagnosed
I was recently diagnosed with osteoporosis and the doctor recommended taking once monthly
Boniva
. I have never had a fracture and no one in my family has had osteoporosis or a bone fracture. I am 59 years old and active and have been in menopause for one year.

Recommendations regarding meds and exercise with osteoporosis.
For me, I am going to continue on Ibandronate (generic
Boniva
) for awhile, but may consider this type of supplement as well. Any thoughts on the Book , Menopause Manifesto or the supplement Nee Chapter Bone Strength? Thanks you and enjoy the Memorial Day weekend!

My journey and experience with PMR
My journey and experience with PMR since September 2021. I had some core inclusion criteria for PMR, including blood results ( ESR and CRP ) were high. I was prescribed Prednisolone and within six weeks, I had reduced my prednisolone from 20mg to 2.5mg. This was my decision . I was surprised that I

Prolia question
My doctor put me on
Boniva
first and I hurt so badly, he stopped it after the first dose. He then put me on Prolia and I did well on it. This spring, he told me that it was now reccommeded, to use only for 5 years and took me off of it.

Help and Opinions on Prolia for Osteoporosis
I have taken Actonel,
Boniva
, Forteo and Fosamax already. I really did not want to consider this because of the possibility of side affects lasting for 6 months. Then decided it is probably the right step.

Regional or metastatic? Proton + ADT +???
He has osteopenia in 1 hip and osteoporosis in other hip—didn’t know this before the DEXA scan; his primary put him on
Boniva
. Is this good enough or does he need one of the bone strengthening meds mentioned here? Wondering if anyone else has gone this route?

I am on 10 mg prednisone,
boniva
for osteoporosis, Actemra & Dexilant. Rheumatologist said he wants me to do the 2 part vaccine. He also said, "It could make you sick but I want you to do both parts anyway."

Hello I am new here. I have longstanding CFS/ME and Osteoporosis. I have been prescribed Prolia and wonder if I am out of options.
Hello all! I am female, nearly 70, in the last 20 years I have developed multiple allergies and intolerances, so my diet is quite limited. I take D3, B12 in a spray, and try to incorporate calcium in my food, eg tahini. Vitamin C with plenty of lemon juice. I have never smoked and can't drink alcohol
