Midgut malrotation
I had HIDA scan done for my gallbladder. In addition to the findings for gallbladder, report noted “midgut malrotation”. Doctor has asked for Ct scan to confirm. From what I have read online it sounds scary. It’s very rare in adult. Can anyone provide some insight on this?

Please help. Where do I go next?
I had my first gynaecology appointment this morning and have come away feeling like I haven’t been listened to and my symptoms are not real. I am considering my next steps and whether to go back to my GP. I had been waiting 1.5 years for this appointment and feel very upset that I may now not get any

Gallstones
Does anyone know how long the wait is for gallstones surgery? I'm 19 and have been struggling with server pain for over 9 weeks. I have my bloods booked and a ultrasound to confirm as I was first diagnosed with a stomach ulcer. I have a 10 week old baby and I'm terrified to get the pain when he needs

Gallbladder interaction with inflammation, and our PMR and RA.
Hi, just want to mention that I fought with my gallbladder this week and I believe the Hospital won the lottery with my money but that's another story in America, two trips to an Emergency Room and One stay of two days to get gallstone removed and only $13,000, no insurance so they make it cheaper than

Treatment for Osteoporosis
Is anyone taking Teriperatide for osteoporosis of the spine? Are you living in the UK? How many fractures do you have? I have refused Alendronic acid because of side effects - Osteo necrosis of the jaw, principally. Phyllis Wilson

Billing for Infusions
Does anyone know how the price of Zoledronic Acid is affected by whether it is given in a rheumatology practice's infusion center versus picked up by the patient at a pharmacy and given at a doctor's office? My rheumatologist says I may have to pick up infusion medication if I need to take it. She is

Bisphosphonate success? My update!
Greetings to all! I can never begin to thank the special few ladies on this site enough who replied to my first note back in the early summer of 2021 and encouraged me with their positive stories and shared fears when I was absolutely terrified to make the decision to start alendronate. Gallbladder Op
Just wondering if anyone has had a gallbladder op recently. I’ve been on the list since November 2020. Gallstone now 80mm and common bile duct affected. Sick of not being able to eat properly and the fear of pain returning. I’m in Wales. Anyone been successful being seen?

Interesting comparison of different amino acids in different meats
I saw something recently that said beef is better than lamb for PD. Why is that? There is a difference in the amino acids. Could one of them be the cause either because it is higher or lower in beef? Pork was also worse. Chicken good I think? But they do look quite similar. What else would cause one

Additional meds from my GP?
Hi Everyone, First to say I am pleased to have just about survived the first Mothering Sunday since my wife Sue's death. Not only the Mum of our lovely 3 kids, but she 'mothered me' too, and I miss it - (as our youngest kindly commented on my Fbook "You were her biggest challenge Dad!!). Also pleased

I was able to have my fourth Covid vaccination....
I thought you may be interested that yesterday I was able to have my fourth Covid vaccination. I was diagnosed with PMR in December last year and began with a dose of 15mg of prednisolone raised to 20mg almost immediately and have been tapering down since then with one flare. Currently on 15mg. I have

Salmon Protein Hydrolysate
New study below [1]. Anyone here using
Salmon Protein Hydrolysate
? FWIW: "A growing body of evidence implicates iron dysmetabolism in prostate cancer progression. A bioactive peptide-rich salmon protein hydrolysate (SPH) has previously been demonstrated to modulate iron homeostatic mechanisms.

Alpha fetoprotein test for cirrhosis patients??
Hi, is it standard for this test to be done every 6 months with the liver scan? I've just had my bloods done (post liver scan and pre consultant appointment) and spotted that I have been tested for this for the first time and the results are hidden from my Patient Knows Best account ... should I be worried
