SOC is working for me - so far anyway.
As I’m castrate resistant with PSA doubling every 3 months I started
bicalutamide
, an oldie but in some cases it still produces great results. With Stage 4 the only certainty is that the disease keeps on keeping on.

6-month Update: PSA down / Testosterone up
Since so far probably
Bicalutamide
is doing 99% of the job, but she knows that we need to achieve castration levels soon, we put these options over the table: A) Keep the course of Leuprolide and increase
Bicalutamide
to 150 MG until castration levels.

Hormone therapy after salvage rt
I am about to complete my radiotherapy treatment tomorrow and my RO has prescribed a further six months of hormone therapy, Tamoxifen and
Bicalutamide
. My PSA test last week showed that my PSA was undetectable 0.001 and my testosterone at 19.5.

High Blood Pressure anyone?
I've been on
Bicalutamide
and Lupron since December 2019, recently completed 9 sessions of Docetaxel and today will be my 10th Radio session. At my Nursing check four days ago, I discovered that my BP was 163/100. I have since been monitoring it and has remained around that pressure, even at home.

Seeking advice regarding hormone therapy and radiotherapy duration
So the doctor gave my dad the first Lucrin (lupron) 11.25mg injection on July 28, 2020, and prescribed him
bicalutamide
50mg daily and scheduled him to have radiotherapy after 6 weeks of the injection. Of course we wanted to seek second opinion so we went for several other doctors.

Bicalutamide
and TrelStar. I quickly moved to Winship Cancer Institute. My Medical Oncologist is switching my to Lupron, Prednisone & Zytiga.

PSA rising after 18 months
I live in El Salvador and have been on
Bicalutamide
with Zoladex (Goserelen) for the past 18 months. I have a Gleason of 9 metastisis in spine, shoulders ribs, etc.. I feel great and exercise for an hour and a half each day. Should Ibe worried? Is my PSA just dancing???

Will Lupron and Casodex affect a PSMA PET Scan?
My urologist wants to start me on
bicalutamide
and Lupron ASAP. My question is, will these drugs affect a PET scan?

Free vs Total Testosterone? - Redux.
First-generation non-steroidal anti-androgens, including flutamide and
bicalutamide
, block the androgen receptor, thereby inhibiting intracellular signaling.

What's Next?
Ten years ago surgery, then IMRT, several years of Lupron/
Bicalutamide
, Provenge, Radium 233, Taxotere and currently Jevtana. I am Stage 4 with bone/lymph node mets. PSA rising after 4 infusions of Jevtana (180). Bone scan/CT update in two weeks. Lost 35#, but still vertical.

Why no testosterone monitoring?
Being treated now with
bicalutamide
and eligard. I have had a couple labs and so far testosterone levels have not been included and I would think that would be a standard item monitored. Any thoughts? Thank you!

Rising psa after Eligard and bicalutamide, in 9 months. What treatment now to stop the psa rise?
I'm on Eligard still and
bicalutamide
. No other treatment or Petscan etc is available at this time, l live in Mexico. I have to return to Canada for extra treatment when possible but may have to wait 6mths or more. What other medication would one take with a slow psa rise as described.
