Low grade stage 3c omental cake
She had 3 cycles of neoadjuvant Carboplatin-paclitaxel-
bevacizumab
and after that the CT scan showed a mild response (did not expected more as she is low grade...) and also a reduction of CA-125 levels to 78.

Big pharma and cancer
Go to ft.com/pharmaceuticals There was also an article: « Drugmakers take an unorthodox route to cancer biosimilars » about the NHS buying Chinese biosimilar version, which they call « copycat » of Rituximab, Trastuzumab marketed as Herceptin,
Bevacizumab
marketed as Avastin.

Feeling deflated!!
Anyhow he explained that they wouldn't do debulking as lesions on liver were too near arteries and it would be a big operation so instead they are going to add
bevacizumab
injection to my treatment when my abdominal would d has healed, which after 10 weeks is still leaking a little, so they will delay

Hello everyone - introducing me!
I'm on weekly chemo - part of the ICON8B trial, which is messing up my veins - and having Carboplatin, Taxol and
Bevacizumab
(Avastin). Two cycles in, lots more treatment to come. Coping well so far. Hoping the tumour will be reduced enough by end of June to enable the operation.

Help and advice please? I'm new here!
The chemo regime has been Carboplatin, Paclitaxel and
Bevacizumab
every 3 weeks. She has been at home for 5 weeks now but has been quite poorly throughout with only a couple of days where she felt slightly back to normal although she has tried to stay positive and fight it.

Zejula Granted FDA Approval for Ovarian Cancer
Approximately half of patients had achieved a complete response to prior platinum-based therapy and a quarter had received prior
bevacizumab
. In the non-BRCA-mutant arm, 33.8 percent and 32.8 percent of patients had received ≥3 prior therapies.

Trials
You find out which group you have been put in once signed up. 2 trial groups involve taking
Bevacizumab
along with carboplatin and paclitaxel and one group does not have
bevacizumab
involved. Could anyone tell me if they have heard of these type of trials.

Short-Course Bicalutamide with or without Bevacizumab
Seems odd to me - I wonder what they had in mind other than demonstrating an add-on benefit for
bevacizumab
?

New blood test could help doctors pick the best treatment for ovarian cancer
Blood vessel-targeting drugs like
bevacizumab
, for example, are not beneficial to every patient. But, a new blood test can help doctors and patients decide. "We will now look to further explore the potential of using a blood test to personalise treatment for ovarian cancer patients.
