buprenorphine dose
I’m in the US, and just started a Suboxone Rx two weeks ago at dosage of 2/.5. I’d like to get lower dosage if I can, but I don’t see any US companies advertising the .2/.05 tablets that you have in UK. I’ve found that using 1/4 strip every other day works fine for me. I assume the long half-life

Switched from Methadone at 10 mg to Buprenorphine 10 mcg
Good Morning, As of June 2023, I began with 5 mg of methadone, and gradually increased it to 20 mg by August. I reported to the forum in early November, a transformation occurred, with the leg spasms virtually gone, caused by RLS at night. I began tapering off, and reduced it to 7.5 mg and have remained

Neupro Patch Weaning
I’ve read most of the forum’s input regarding Neupro Patches and relayed the information to the physician. He has decided to optimize the Gabapentin dose and discontinue the patch. A bit of history…….. the patch was started 12/19/23…10 days ago. Prior to that, ropinirole was weaning off (dose on

Escape from Augmentation
I have continued to make progress on my path to getting my dopamine receptors back to somewhere near normal. I last used a DA patch in September. I am using buprenorphine patches and pregabalin as RLS blockers to assist in the process. There is some improvement (perhaps 60%) in my sleep regime and in

Hydrocodone to Tramadol?
So the USA ran out of Hydrocodone 10/325 due to DEA putting limits on annual production. My last fill was 11-6-23. Luckily I had saved up 90 units for emergency (proof I'm not abusing) but that ran out yesterday. I asked my doc to prescribe tramadol hcl 50mg to get by until production resumes. Started

hot flushes
I’ve struggled with these for about twenty years and they have diminished over time. However, since going on preds, just over five weeks ago, they have got worse. Longest bout of RLS 13 days of no sleep
I’m exhausted! I twitch and full body movements every night until 3AM then wake up at 6. On top of the RLS, I have now developed an upper respiratory infection. I was prescribed cough syrup with phenegran and it made me have the worst ever attack. I have called the doctor and he gave me gabapentin and

Therapulse - Do I really need to scale up slowly the way the maker says to?
I've had RLS for decades & currently take Horizant, methadone, and a small amount of Mirapex (I ran into trouble when I tried to drop the Mirapex completely so my specialist suggested leaving a small amount in for now). To help further lower my med doses, or to help with handling flareups without increasing

RLS regimen for occasional big flare-ups?
I’m in the process of switching from Pramipexole to Pregabalin. To help ease the transition - Just got a Rx today for buprenorphine/naloxone (2/.5mg); I intend to cut the strips into fourths. Assuming all goes well with the rest of the transition, I’m wondering what people do to manage flare-ups?

what to do? Take .25mg Pramipexole and 7.5mg zopiclone for 2 or 3 nights? Or not?
Cannabis isnt effective atm so I need a 5 day break. Being sleep deprived from RL and insomnia just now is awful. I can't see my doctor to discuss methadone till after New Year. What to do? Doctor prescribed .25mg Pramipexole to try, but I'm too worried about augmentation to take these. BUT....I'm exhausted

Hydrocodone?
My doctor is prescribing hydrocodone for help with my restless legs during plane flights, in addition to my regular meds, ropinirole and pregabalin. Has anyone had experience with this? Thank you.

16 week midwife appointment
I went for my 16 week midwife appointment yesterday. All she did was BP and check my urine was kind of hoping she would check for babies heartbeat with the doppler but no. Is this normal? I have a high risk pregnancy for various reasons but main one being twins so just a bit worried. The rest of my appointments

PMR again ?
I stopped pred on 8th October after 4 years and was OK until now. I have developed stiffness and aching in hips down to knees and am wondering whether the PMR has come again due to stress. I was diagnosed with breast cancer on 11th October and am currently on Letrozole to (hopefully !) shrink the tumour

autoimmunity
I went to Laurie Mischley’s alumni camp in August. One of the Labs that I decided to get done called Nuro zoomer I believe, had an interesting result. Turns out I have auto immunity to my glycine receptors. There’s not a whole lot about this online, but apparently in some cases it can cause parkinsonism

buprenorphine study
Just wondering what people think about the recent study below? Study population was people with opioid use disorder (OUD) who are taking buprenorphine to manage it. Apparently an unusually high percentage of participants had RLS symptoms. I thought Bup alleviated symptoms? I’m in the process of getting

Fenofibrates
Someone asked if Dr. Jones' book mentioned the use of fenofibrates.... yes, it does in several places. This might be a good book to have if you are considering using them. He is the leading expert on PBC. Hope it helps... The subject is discussed in the chapter for 'Treatment of PBC'. Many have been

Co-codamol any good for RLS or PLMD?
I asked my GP for buprenorphine. He gave me co-codamol. Does anyone have any personal experience of this opioid? I'm not in pain, but have PLMD. I'd love to know if anyone has used co-codamol - and how they took it - and what their experience of it has been.

Pain management
Dear Friends: I am currently taking 20mg Methadone daily for RLS and will have painful hand surgery soon. Because Methadone blunts effects of opioids I am concerned about pain management. Any ideas how best to handle? Thank you.
