Slow Release T3 - SRT
Hi, My Dr has offered me Slow Release T3 or Sustained Release T3. I'm happy to try it, but it's expensive, so I wanted to gather peoples thoughts and experience before I proceed. Many thanks.

cortisol test
Hi I have had a 9am cortisol blood test which the doctor has marked as normal the results are 148mnol/L and range is 133-537. I know it says in range but have it also says <320 should be in interpreted for a pretest. My FT4 is low 10.9 range is 12-22 all other tests seem ok My folate was 2.6 normal

The results are in. I don’t know what to think of this months appointment and I’m confused and anxious but also a bit relived that it’s over. My husbands GFR was at 39 today, which has been the pretty steady number we’ve been trending towards. He had an Albumin/creatine urine test and the results were

Fatigued with anxiety
Hi, I have hypothyroidism which was diagnosed three years ago and am currently on Levothyroxine 100mg daily. My memory has improved to a more normal level but I wake up every morning barely able to open my eyes and in work I am able to function, but I lack sharpness and feel detached, almost like I am

Perplexing results. I wondered if anyone had any thoughts?
I was wondering if any one had any thoughts on my results I’m 14 years post RAI and have been on levothyroxine for 8 years and I seem to be very sensitive to dose change. I don’t have thyroid antibodies just a toxic adenoma. They run my T4 higher around 19- 22 for conversion for T3, my consultant

Cholesterol prevention Lequio Inqlisiran offered by GP
Few weeks ago, after my last blood test, I have received a letter from my GP surgery that my cholesterol level was slightly raised (I have diabetes type 2, which so far has been successfully controlled for years, by healthy diet). I have Atrial Fibrilation and pacemaker fitted, and therefore I know

Heartened to know I am not alone in the struggles caused by pramipexole
I have had RLS and PLMD as long as I can remember. I’m sure all of those nights I struggled with symptoms as a child that were brushed off as growing pains…RLS. My mom suffers mildly. Unfortunately, both of my daughters also have many challenges that began as teens. What I’ve been through is so complex

Bakers cysts
Hi, does anyone have or have knowledge on bakers cysts behind knees? I haven't been diagnosed with them but my own googling of symptoms and images of them look exactly like my knees look like. Swollen lumps behind knees, sore to touch, stiff, limited movement. I'm getting bloods done tomorrow testing

Help re endo not increasing T3
I should have had an appointment today with my endocrinologist, but yesterday it was cancelled. This appointment was due to my blood test results, which she already knew, from April, and a reply from the psychiatry dept regarding dosing T3 for mental health. The psychiatrist had replied that whilst

Another visit to Rheumatologist…
Hi, I had a face to face appointment with my Rheumatologist yesterday. My ESR has increased to 97 and CRP 38. He said he’s very concerned about this 🙄. I’ve had 8 injections of Adalimumab since I last saw him for Ankylosing Spondylitis. He has stopped the jabs because he says they aren’t working

Change to medication
Hi everyone, I have been taking 150mg of thyroxine for over 10 years. At the beginning of the year, I spoke to my doctor because my fatigue was increasing, I didn't feel like myself, and I was having heavy periods. I thought I was starting to become perimenopausal. The doctor said I was depressed

Graves lack of appetite & feeling very low.
I have my follow up endo appointment on 4th March by telephone to discuss my bloods which I need to have taken again next week. I was diagnosed on 22nd January with graves, the GP requested the Trab test back in October but it was refused, it was only after I’d seen the endo that the test was the retaken

Watching House
I am off on a long weekend (tomorrow I go back to work), and watching House on Netflix. Funny how they focus on positive ANA for lupus on this. Of course it is never lupus, but the irony is, when you don’t tests positive on ANA - it can’t be lupus. BUT, if people test positive for ANA, you are told
