Rheumatologist wants mum to start Baricitinib.
I understand that
Baricitinib
is an oral medication but my mum was also given a choice of another injection. Really don’t know which to choose. Is there a problem with choosing a tablet as the next biologic rather than an injection? Like might the immune system get resistant? I don’t know

Why wait for six years?
I was told yesterday that
baricitinib
was working but I would need a knee replacement because of RA wear and tear. Then I was told that as a replacement only lasted for ten years I would have to wait until l am 65 for this- six years away! My mobility is very poor already and I use a stick.

How long does it take for Baricitinib (Olumiant) to work?
I thought that Olumiant was special because it works fast. But I've been on it for 10 days now (4mg per day) and I don't see any difference at all. How long did it take to work for you? Any experiences will be very much appreciated!

What to do????
My doc wants me to consider
Baricitinib
4mg oral. Not sure what to do, is this a biologic or not, in oral form, i am yet to establish. The other worrying thing is the risk of DVT and clots in the lungs, please advise, would appreciate Cheryl
