Azilect – side effects
Hello all! Just started this medicine three days ago and I’m not quite sure what the medicine actually does. If it is supposed to extend The L/C it absolutely does not and quite frankly I’m taking more L/C than I was before and I called the doctors office and hopefully something will pop up tomorrow

Gait issues as a side effect from Azilect?
I was prescribed
Azilect
in July of 2020, six weeks after taking it my walking became quite poor and has consistently gotten worse. Does anyone think I can assume it could be a side effect of the
azilect
?

Rasagiline - Azilect or generic?
For those of you who are on Rasagiline, have you noticed a difference in effectiveness between the brand
Azilect
and generic substitutions? Thank you!

Need Advice
He was prescribed Madopar and
azilect
. He is also doing B1 and a myriad of vitamins. Just seems like he's hitting a brick wall, esp after 3PM and it kills me! Thanks for any advice Cheers Mel

Sinemet and Xadago
My mom was on sinemet (25/100) 4 times a say with
azilect
up till September 2020. She switched to rytary 36/145 4x a day. By October, her blood pressure was very low so we added midrodine. We also switched from
azilect
to xadago but after 2 weeks she had more falls so we switched back to
azilect
.

Azilect : does it slow progress? Is it neuro protective?
I have read a lot of conflicting information about
Azilect
. Some say it slows progress. Some say it does not. I am not yet on medication.

Amantadine sulphate
Amantadine sulphate - I was diagnosed with PD a few months ago (45 yo) and have been on Sifrol, (Mirapex),
Azilect
and Dekinet (Biperiden)Due to cognitive memory issues my doctor reduced the level of dekinet and it helped. It also slowly led to a regression of tremors and right hand weakness.

Sinemet vs Rytary
In my 5th year and thus far, I’ve been taking Mucuna,
azilect
and Neupro patch still doing well with slow progression with symptoms only on the left side. I exercise daily work full-time and lead a normal life. I have no off time, my symptoms are pretty much the same all the time.

Meds and movement
My meds (a Madopar, an
Azilect
and a Ropinerole), didn't work at all. I was and remain amazed at the difference between one day and the next. What changed? The only thing I can think of is that for the hour between taking meds and breakfast, I lay in bed and read.

Gratitude; transitioning away from Levodopa; emulating John Pepper's Azilect program
We are also wondering if there are any pwps who have followed John Pepper's example by switching to
Azilect
. In our case, this requires first phasing out Rytary, and then phasing out duloxetine before starting on
Azilect
due to contraindication of
Azilect
with duloxetine.

Rasagiline and Depression
This is a long way of asking if anyone knows about the process of getting of Rasaginline/
Azilect
? I find it fascinating that depression is listed as a main side effect.

Mucuna Dyskinesia Shocker!
Started on
Azilect
and then added 8mg of Requip and I still take these in the morning. 3 years ago added 300mg of Madopar per day but only stayed on this for a couple of months. I'd read about dyskinesia and also heard that Mucuna offered the same relief but didn't cause dyskinesia.

Rasagiline (Azilect) savings
If you are in the US and taking rasagiline (
Azilect
) you know it is very expensive. I checked prices and found that just about every pharmacy is charging the same price for this medication except Sam's club with the Plus membership.
