Azilect and Cipro

Hi has anyone used CiproFloxacin with Azilect? I have a complicated UTI and need to know if there is any clash between these two drugs. Appreciate to share your info.

Very importantly, Ciprofloxacin / Cipro is known to have this severe side effect:

The risk increases very significantly if used in conjunction with some steroids :

Cipro is not the only antibiotic known for this tendon and ligament damage issue. Other drugs from this class known as Fluoroquinolones such as Levofloxacin/Levaquin can also cause the same as detailed in this Mayo Clinic article :

Definitely some negative issues with this drug even by itself.

I am also on Azilect (rasagiline). As I understand it... Azilect is metabolized by the liver. Given together Cipro can slow down the metabolism of Azilect thus increasing its blood level to potentially dangerous levels. In some instances Cipro can be given if the dose of Azilect is lowered first.

My husband had a retinal detachment using Cipro. He has Parkinson's. I would ask for something else ...

Take D mannose, helps to keep uti from coming back. Thier are YouTube videos about it.
