Good news and bad
I just received my second denial letter from SSDI for disability benefits. The disability attorney that I am working with tells me that this is sadly very typical, and that I will likely not be approved until I meet with an administrative law judge, which could be up to two years from now. Amantadine
Has anyone had experience with this drug. I started it for my extreme fatigue, but am feeling pretty awful. Very tired, a bit dizzy and nauseous. I’m wondering if it’s a drug you need to get use to? Thanks, Linda

Swollen feet and ankles
Does anyone else get swollen feet and ankles? I only take Amantadine for PD and Duloxatine and Gabapentin for pain from neuropathy. My Neurologist said she didn’t know which meds were causing it. So we left all meds the same🙄 But now they are swelling up to the point that I am having a lot of discomfort

MRI Results
Finally got mri results. NO NEW LESIONS. Hallelujah. Praise God. This was awesome news after all the trouble I went thru getting them. So I guess the Plegridy is doing it’s job. I think I hurt his feelings when I asked him for his definition of a relapse. After his response I asked if that didn’t seem

Using Azo bladder control or similar supplement
My PWP has always had to get up multiple times in the night to urinate. With PD, the frequency is a little more often, and he can't always get out of bed quickly enough. The anxiety he feels going to bed, and panic when he can't get up, are keeping us both awake most of the night, almost every night

Sudden worsening of symptoms
Earlier this week, my husband was doing really well overall (he's on sinemet, Neupro and amantadine, btw). Then 3 days ago, his condition deteriorated terrifyingly quickly. He can no longer get in/out of bed or chairs, walk unassisted, or dress himself. Not interested in food. Some disorientation

Why do you need all of these? Neupro, amantadine & sinamet
Confused as I have been reading where people are on all of these Neupro, amantadine & sinamet at the same time. Is there a reason? Thanks

Caregiver not patient - new to the group
My husband was formally diagnosed w/ PD about 2 1/2 years ago, but had it for a while before, mis-diagnosed as essential tremors for about 2yrs and we now know he had it even before then. He's 71 and using Neupro, amantadine & sinamet. Looking forward to gathering knowledge and sharing with everyone

Question for those on Amantadine
I have just started to take it along with the sinemet (9 daily). Wondering if I should take it at the same time or at a different time? My doctor said it should not matter. I am not up to the full dose yet, but will be taking 3 a day. Any tips? It is too early to know for sure, but so far I am feeling

So glad to find you!
Hi there. I'm Mary Jo. So glad to find this group. I'm already excited to try some new things you have all mentioned in your posts. I posted my big story in my profile if anyone wants all the usual PD details. The short version is I'm 62, live in Kansas, diagnosed 8 years ago, although symptoms began

In a Post by Satt2015, he attached a video. In it the doctor spoke of a patient getting results from Amantadine. The same patient tried Carbidopa-Levidopa unsuccessfully . Has anyone tried Amantadine? Karyn

I already posted this in my MS community but it's also relevant for those of us with RLS. Hi Everybody, Hope you don't get tired of me always posting here and asking questions. It's just the best site for information I know of. My neurologist prescribed Amantadine for MS related fatigue, but I've been
