Why do you need all of these? Neupro, amantadine & sinamet

Confused as I have been reading where people are on all of these Neupro, amantadine & sinamet at the same time. Is there a reason? Thanks

Amantadine has been found to diminish reuptake of norepinephrine. This relates to damage to the locus couruleus. Search for coeruleus HUpd.

The Amantadine helps lessen the dyskinesia induced by the sinemet

They're prob taking sinemet along with the neupro patch to fill in

EG: I take the ext rls sinemet

Yet still fill in with the immediate rls sinemet when I need a quicker response

And I take 2 Amantadine per day so the dyskinesia isn't so bad

Your explanation is exactly what we experienced. In our case, though the Neupro was the first med prescribed. I don't know why and the cost of it was terrifying, but it seemed to work for a while. We changed doctors and he added sinemet along with the amantadine. The combination of the two new drugs really stabilized my husbands condition.
