Day 2 of being in bed AGAIN
Feeling so awful havent slept for more than 2 hours over the last 2 nights. My bleeding is so heavy and I have pain from my ribs to my knees, also feeling dizzy and sick. Taking zapain and mefenamic acid. I feel useless, so fed up of letting my work down and having to cancel plans because I just can't

Any tips?
I need to stop having so much time off work because of the pain I experience. So far I use: mefenamic acid, tranexamic acid, codiene and paracetamol Heat pads/hot water bottles Try to get as much rest as I can... Anything else or suppliments etc? Willing to try just about anything at the moment!!

Scared I will lose my job...
I am awaiting an official diagnosis as I haven't had any internal tests... but every month I am off work for at least a day unless my period falls on a weekend day. I cant stand up straight, walk or keep food down. The fatigue is as bad as the pain and I am in bed for most of the days whilst on my period

New Here, New PBC Diagnosis - Plus Introduction
Hello! So glad to have found this forum. I'm a 58-year-old woman in North Texas, USA. After seeing liver enzymes rise over 9 months or so, was referred by my cardiologist to a gastroenterologist who ordered blood tests and liver biopsy, all of which confirm PBC. The best news is that the level of liver

Bleeding for 2 weeks on the pill!
Wondering if anyone has any advice that might help. Back in October I had a laparoscopy for end and was diagnosed with stage 4/5 which was removed. Prior to this I hadn't been on the pill for almost 2 and a half years. After my op I stayed off the pill until February when I felt my symptoms returning

"Likely endometriosis"
Hi, I was only yesterday told I may have endometriosis and I'm now being treated with some tablets to help pain and bleeding. But today has already been a terrible day, not even 9am and I've been sat up buckled over crying for 5 hours. I've taken the mefenamic acid, which didn't work. I've also taken

Honesty
Has anyone here dealt with drug dependency? I have....a few times. The first time I didn't relalize it. I had been taking Vicodin for migraines and then (unknown at the time) nerve and muscle pain for over 7years and developed an ulcer, so of course my dr discontinued the medication. I developed insomnia

Re is it a flare and alendronic acid.
Had consult with GP and X Ray shows fracture in vertebra, not compression. Pain when he felt the vertebra was minimal compared to when he last examined there. In view of fact that it is six weeks since injury was sustained he thinks this is normal. Pain there is now only a concern when I get out of bed

Nervous about taking Alendronic acid
Hi, I'm new! I am wondering whether everyone is taking Alendronic acid with their Pred? I was diagnosed with GCA six weeks ago...no eye problems so started on 40mg Pred and reduced last week to 30mg, but I have yet to take my first dose of Alendronic acid. I don't know why but I feel really nervous about

Appointment Advice please (Manchester)
So here's my story in brief: I'm 34 and had painful heavy periods for over 15 years, the last 5 years I've suffered with large clots during periods which meant I couldn't leave the house for a couple of days during my period as leakage was a big problem - as well as the pain. Saw my GP and she gave

Period pain with no period
Hi I'm almost 51 and on the mini pill. I have agonising period pain -like cramps. My GPS prescribed Mefenamic Acid last year but it's not helping. I have hot flushes but no idea if I should stop the pill to see if it helps the pain and struggling to get a GP appointment. Had a scan last year which

Hi everyone, Long time no speak! The last I posted I was talking about my failed laparoscopy I think. Just to reiterate - I'm not diagnosed as of yet, but I have suspected endo. So I basically just wanted to rant and see what you guys think of what my new gynae consultant said to me. He said that my

Apple Cider Vinegar and Magnesium
I think have seen posts here about using ACV for acid reflux. I currently take Omeprazole but need to stop it for 2 weeks prior to an endoscopy but worried that the acid reflux will be bad. Any advice would be welcomed. I have also seen posts about using magnesium as a sleep aid and as I suffer terribly

Difference between Neo-Cytamen Hydroxocobalamin Chloride and Mercury pharma Hydroxocobalamin Acetate
Hello... Went to collect my B12 ampoules from chemist this afternoon and realised instead of being given my usual brand Neo-Cytamen they have given me the Mercury Pharma brand. The former contains hydroxocobalamin Chloride 1000 microgram/ml and the latter Hydroxocobalamin Acetate 1mg/ml. On the information

PBC confirmed
So been to the hospital now, thanks for the tip about taking a book, it was needed, PBC diagnosis confirmed and put me straight on ursodeoxycholic acid. Doing more bloods and going for MRI and dexoscan follow up appointment in a couple of months to see how I am getting on. I read that a side effect

New to the forum
Hello I am new to the Asthma UK forum. I was diagnosed with asthma when I was around 6 years old I was told that I would outgrow it which I did. I then had no asthma symptoms for several years then I was told it had come back in October 2015. Since then I have been taking only a blue reliever inhaler
