question for you ectopic sufferers.?
hi you lovely people. I have a question maybe someone can shed light on.?? Iv had ectopic beats on and off for about 30+ years. But somedays they are more powerful and noticeable than other days. and so for me they are not as mentally draining as other days especially when they’re weak. But when

Half dose of Eliquis
I am 69 yrs old with low heart disease risk and have had diagnosed afib for three years. I believe I was suffering with it for 2-3 years prior but did not address it until I got the classic symptoms of fatigue, dizziness, out of breath, and vision problems. My doc ran numerous tests on my heart that

Another antigoagulant question
Hello. A year ago I had painless thyroiditis which sent me into Afib and I remained in Afib constantly for 5 months for which I was on bisoprolol and an anticoagulant. I was then put on an anti arrhythmia meds at the time the thyroid cleared up and was soon back in NSR. That was last March. Since then

Experience with no medication!
Hello😊 does anyone as afib and doing nothing like me, I have persistent chronic afib for 4y now but NOT feeling it, only the cardiologist see it with control! He advised me to take Eliquis or I could have a stroke or heart attack! I’m sure and respect he’s medical knowledge and not against medication

AFIB and Levothyroxine (thyroid) dose.
Just a question for those of you that are hypothyroid and AFIB: Is your dose of thyroid medication less because you have AFIB, currently or in the past? Appreciate your input! Thanks!

Can an Ablation make my Paroxysmal AFib worse
I wonder whether someone can help me decide whether to have an ablation or wait Iam 65 and due to have a Pulsed Field Ablation and have justhad my pre procedure nurse interview. I have paroxysmal AFib -usually twice a year -lasting about 8-9 hours which I control with a one off mega dose 300mg

Does a heart still remodel if medications stop AF completely?
I read a response to a recent post today where a member with recently diagnosed AF was tossing up whether they should continue with meds or get an ablation. The response was yes, you should get an ablation, if you don't you will run the risk that your heart will remodel and the success rate for ablation

New to Afib- tiredness
Diagnosed a little over a week ago with Afib. On Diltazem and Eloquis. I am 58 years old and always been healthy until now. They have given me Flecainide to start taking daily if I have another episode. My question is about being so tired all the time. I sleep a lot but have to work full time.

low T4 and T3 normal TSH
I posted earlier in the year about my daughter diagnosed with post partum thyroiditis , no treatment at the time but endocrinologist said he’d keep an eye on her! Her most recent results seem odd to me in that both T4 and T3 are very low but her TSH is also low - her case has been closed and results

Heart rate up and down
my husband is currently waiting for an appointment with the arrhythmia clinic after suffering a stroke 3 months ago . As I’ve mentioned before he had an ablation in 2017 which had obviously stopped working at some point . Just curious as to whether anyone else s heart rate varies so much . He can go

Cardiovascular disease (CVD) kills more than 20.5 million people every year across the world
Did you know atrial fibrillation (AF) is the most common heart rhythm disorder and leading cause of stroke? Over 1.5 million people in the UK are diagnosed with AF and yet approx. a further 500,000 yet to be diagnosed. A simple pulse check can DETECT AF. Anticoagulation therapy can PROTECT against

Lisinopril, A-Fib enlarged left atrium,
I was taking Diltiazem 60 mg 12HR ER Cap 2 times a day for A-fib and hypertension. I stopped it as doctor recommended when I had to take Paxlovid for Covid. I didn't get A-fib when I didn't go back to taking the Diltiazem and have been off of it for more than 2 months. I'm thinking of taking Lisinopril

Amiodarone
I had Cardioversion on 30th August. Heart went into sinus rhythm after third attempt but unfortunately slipped back into AF after just one day. I had a call from cardiac nurse this afternoon telling me the plan is to put me onto Amiodarone and then try another Cardioversion. I understand that the Amiodarone

Alive, with thanks: update on nightmare
Thank you to everyone for replies. I'm still wading through them but trying to avoid spending time on the computer. I survived the weekend. Saturday night was so bad that the only thing that stopped me from ringing 999 overnight was the fear that I would be told there were no ambulances available. I
