weaning off bisoprolol

Good Evening (at least it’s evening in Canada!),

I just had my follow up with my EP today.

ablation #1 afib RF Jan 27 2023

Ablation#2 May 31 for afib RF redo and CTA for flutter.

My EP is suggesting I discontinue my last remaining med. I am taking bisoprolol 2.5mg once a day. He suggests doing a week of 1.25mg and then stopping. Has anyone had any weird rebound things happen? I am terrified of heading into another arrhythmia. He is happy for me to wean slower but doesn’t think it is necessary given my low dose.

Looking forward to your thoughts :)

Hi,

I guess its the same in Canada as in UK .... read the bit of paper in the packet, it usually says what to do by the manufacturer. Failing that check it out with your local Pharmacist by way of a cross check. My personal view is that as it is such a low dose it sounds pretty much spot on.
