Anxiety, waiting for referral ‘Atrial Flutter’
Whilst waiting for referral appointment for ‘
Atrial
Flutter
’ which should have arrived this week. I find myself getting pretty anxious and agitated with every little twinge, breath, etc. Humidity and heat is not helping. I currently not on meds.

Ablation vs med management?
During the ablation, they fixed the
Atrial
Tachycardia, and also induced
Atrial
Fib/
Atrial
Flutter
, which they also ablated. I had symptom free period for a year and a half, and the Atrial Tachycardia (SVT) returned. On the monitor, my burden of SVT/PACs was at 24%.

Impaired Right Ventricular function – experiences please
There's the hope that as my heart continues to remodel (and get over the 2 months of
atrial
flutter
during the healing) it will see some improvement, possibly to being only mildly impaired, and they've added Spironolactone to my huge drug list to help this.

SOME ADVICE FROM YOU NICE PEOPLE
I will go with his advice, but as I read in many post here, seems that the cardioversion will only last from weeks to months, I now know that this procedure will not cure my
atrial
flutter
, so what is the point to do it anyway?.

Ablation to back wall of the heart
They also went ahead and ablated a common area for
atrial
flutter
although that was not the problem. Has anyone had the back wall of the heart ablated ? What success for you? Did you have persistent afib? Thank you for any info.

Amiodarone
Preliminary data suggest a potential use for amiodarone in treating
atrial
fibrillation/
flutter
and bradycardia-tachycardia syndrome. The drug has also been tested in patients with ventricular arrhythmias with promising results. Amiodarone has many side effects, some of them serious.

My Dad had
Atrial
Flutter
from around 17 to his 70s, when it was
Atrial
Fibrillation and captured on ECG having had several syncope episodes. I'm just looking for support from fellow sufferers and advice. I stopped listening at Atrial Fibrillation, as I thought the palpitations were my Anxiety.

pvc burden increasing
I think I had a hit of
atrial
flutter
two days ago and got concerned that Af was returning. Any advice/thoughts please. Could the scar tidy be causing the pvc’s if that is what they are?? Thanks all Rod

Seeking reassurance post-cardioversion
Hi everyone, As I've posted before, I had a DCCV on Tuesday of last week after being in
Atrial
Flutter
for 6 weeks - 2 months. The flutter has come about after open heart surgery to repair a large hole in my heart.

Normal heartbeat?
I'm concerned there's some
atrial
flutter
in there too. Also exercise intolerance / post exertion malaise, which means I must be increasingly out of shape. Problem is I now have no idea what a normal heart rate is when doing light activities.

Ablation Success
My first was in 2019 for
atrial
flutter
. That ablation was successful too, at curing my
atrial
flutter
, but by 2021 episodes of PAF started to creep into my life. Mainly at night to start with but as time moved on incidents in the day would trigger too.

Is it chest anxiety or something else?
Is it possible this is
atrial
flutter
since I don't know how it should feel, and if its only anxiety, what do you think I should do?

Fifth Ablation Done
Rotor ablation for
atrial
fibrillation. CTI block confirmed for typical
atrial
flutter
. Ligament of Marshall ablation was performed. Posterior wall isolation was performed. A roof line was created to treat roof flutter. Pacing was used to confirm block across the mitral isthmus and CTI lines.

Statistics, triggers & stroke risk?
Hi all fellow afibbers, I’m hoping to get your opinions and hopefully advice, on a bit of information that I’ve recently picked up on. From articles I’ve read, there are two important statements ; 1) That over the age of 64, it is estimated that 1 in 4 people suffer from Afib & this rises to 50%

Cardioversion and PVCs and PACs
Does a cardioversion help if you have PVCs and PACs or does it only help if you have Afib? I go in and out of Afib but my PVCs and PACs have been non-stop for 3 months. Flecainide did not work. I’m considering a cardioversion as I’m to the point I will try anything to get my heart back into NSR but
