Hi, I've just joined today. I'm 56, married Mother of 2 grown children. I have several ongoing health issues. But on June 12th, I was asked to see a Gp as my 7 day holster event monitor results showed my pulse goes up when I reported dizziness in the diary. So on 14th June I saw a Gp and I have no P waves, normal Sinus rhythm but raised and irregular pulse. So results have been forwarded on to a Cardiologist to advise treatment. My Dad had Atrial Flutter from around 17 to his 70s, when it was Atrial Fibrillation and captured on ECG having had several syncope episodes. I'm just looking for support from fellow sufferers and advice. I stopped listening at Atrial Fibrillation, as I thought the palpitations were my Anxiety.

Hi Metal_lady,
Welcome to the Forum!
I don’t have any personal experience with what you’re going through but just wanted to say that you’re not alone and hopefully others will be along soon to share some insight.
There could be more than one reason behind your palpitations but it’s worth getting thoroughly investigated especially with your dad’s condition too.
Keep us posted with how you get on please.
Best wishes

Thank you 😊. I'm still secretly in shock and emotional. I'm just wanting treatment to start.
Thank you
I can understand that!
When I was told I had heart failure (and borderline severe) I was in CCU and thought I had been given a death sentence.
Although I’m now waiting for investigation of other symptoms, I feel much more positive than I did 2 years ago.
Everyone’s journey is individual so be kind to yourself along the way 💛
Best wishes
