PC and family history connection?
Radiation, chemo, then 3 or 4 years
arimidex
. Today at almost 89 alive and (almost) kicking. Her sister had breast cancer when she was at over 80. Only meds, died at 92 from other reasons. My onco thinks that those facts could have something with me only if I had breast cancer, not PC.

Experience and advice on treatment options with and without Ibrance.
On
Arimidex
and Ibrance combo for 16 months. August scans showed no lesions. Great! Ibrance is woking! However scans from this week show "numerous new hypermetabolic bony lesions as well as increase uptake within the manubrium." Onc said on to new treatments.

Is Anyone Using Testosterone Therapy?
I take Avodart daily and 0.5 mg
Arimidex
3x per week. I am considering supplemental Testosterone Therapy (TTh). Dr. Morgentaler thinks I am a candidate for continuous TTh. Is anyone doing TTh?

BAT failed after 2 years
For body builders it is usually managed with
Arimidex
. As substitute I tried a number of over the counter aromatose inhibitors for 2-3 weeks each month but their effect on E2 was exactly zero. They were our old friends diindolymethane (DIM), indole 3 carbinol (I3C) as well as chrysin and luteolin.

I want to hear your story
I'm doing quite well on Ibrance and
Arimidex
. She is doing chemo and very weak. She has pain from bone mets. My concern is that she acts like she's giving up. She doesn't feel that she is going to make it and I want to encourage her that many are living years managing the disease.

Aromatase & CRPC cells
However, it looks as though some men might benefit from
Arimidex
to inhibit intracrine production of E2. However, maintaining bone integrity is essential. Might a low-dose E2 patch be safe?

Is BAT repeatable?
I spoke to my onco, who snarled what do you expect for playing with hormones and no, I am not going to prescribe
Arimidex
. (our relationship is under review from both sides) However there a couple of over the counter aromatose inhibitors that I am trying during the next T phase.

Holidays( Booking them when you don’t know What sort of treatment you are going to be on)
I started on Ibrance and
Arimidex
after radiotherapy for my spine. Unfortunately there was damage to my lungs during the biopsy( they didn't even manage to get a biopsy ) and I was in hospital for a week. It has been a real trial to try and get my lungs back to being able to walk about.

Thinning hair
Also combined with
Arimidex
. I seem to be tolerating it well. My hair hasn't changed, but my question, is it inevitable that it will thin? Is the medication cumulative? I want to try and beat this thing, but is long term use good for us either? Would like some input.

possible treatment change/ markers increasing
I did 2 years of
arimidex
, and have been on faslodex since 2/2018 and ibrance since 4/2018. I had to stop xgeva after a year due to ONJ (last dose 12/2018). Onc had me hold my ibrance/faslodex to draw markers after my week off.

worried about markers / possible treatment change
Did
Arimidex
for almost 2 years, then faslodex/ibrance for 14/16 months. Last xgeva 12/18 due to ONJ (that story is in it's own post). My markers have been inching up from 65 to 71 on the faslodex/ ibrance.

I've had my 1st Zoladex injection & will start on
Arimidex
in about 2 months. The thing is I'm scared to tell my oncologist! When I asked her for the referral she gave me a look that said she didn't want to. I reassured her it was just for vitamin & nutrition information.
