4-months post ablation, what I have been through.
Hi All, Giving an update on my post-ablation progress, which may inform those of you in the same process or more importantly those who are looking for answers to their immediate post-ablation concerns. A caveat, read on my experience but always talk to your EP. You may follow from my previous posts,

Claudication in the legs
I have recently joined. I wish I had done so two years ago. I have just read a description of Claudication of the legs and realised that is exactly what I have been experiencing. Having had Claudication of the jaw during GCA I can’t think why I didn’t relate it. Possibly because old GP mentioned steroid

Essential Thrombocytosis and having knee surgery
I am looking for feedback on how this diagnosis will effect a fairly major surgery. I have a need for total knee replacement- have already had arthroscopy on my meniscus and now bone on bone with arthritis on more than 60% of the femur/tibia. It has affected my life such that I want to have this procedure

Oh well, back on the Merry-Go-Round again (Ablation)
Hi All. As you know I've had an RF Ablation 25th May in London Bridge PVI and a Flutter Line - EP said he found lots of potentials during the waiting times (presume come up to temp) Felt like a new man even directly after, peaceful nights, I was still on Amiodarone which I stopped 1 month post 25th

I checked online and nowhere it says that you can't do the laser surgery on
anticoagulants
, so I am positive, fingers crossed I am right 🤞

Paroxysmal AF getting worse
I was diagnosed with PAF last spring and put on bisoprolol plus a blood thinner. The dosage of bisoprolol has since crept up to the maximum 10mg per day as the PAF has become more frequent and longer lasting. I have been struggling to get my GP to get me an appt with cardiology for a meds review and/

Change to Edoxaban
Yesterday, I had a phone call out of the blue from a person claiming to be a pharmacist working from my GP's surgery saying that they'd carried out a review of all patients on
anticoagulants
and would like them to change to Edoxaban to "bring then into line with current prescribing guidelines".

I've made a big decision!
I also hope to get off the
anticoagulants
as they are playing havoc with my nosebleeds and anaemia is another risk factor for afib!

I went all round the houses on the phone to the hispital, to ask if i should stop my anticoagulant, for the day or 48 hours or what to do. subacute thyroiditis and pregnant
Hi all, I am 6 weeks pregnant and on the 1st of September I was diagnosed with subacute thyroiditis (bloods and ultrasound). I was admitted to A&E as I had a fever and a high hart rate (145). The first endocrinologist that saw me said that normally they would start with NSAIDs but as I am pregnant

Angiogram and anticoagulants
I have to have an angiogram to determine whether I have angina or something like costachondritis. Will I need to stop taking Apixaban beforehand given that there is a risk of internal bleeding from the procedure? Is the procedure painful or uncomfortable?

Step-Dad's Health Deteriorating and Lack of Clarity and Communication from GP / Hospital

Who else
ok so I have suffered with AF for about 5 years if that is the correct term. I tend to have more symptomatic events during the night. If I have an event around 3am it will tend to keep me awake and last a couple of hours. The problems it causes me is when I would normally get up for work between 6/6.30
