Hello, everyone. During the last few months, while waiting for my father's scans to be done, I have read hundreds of posts and profiles of people on this board. I have been trying to gain some knowledge and courage to face the situation in front of me, often searching for the most difficult cases

Bone CT results.
Hello everyone, I am oligometastic. After prostatectomy 3.5 years ago, I had two mets in the femur. They were treated succesfully with stereotactict radiotherapy. My PSA currently and for the last 33 months is <0.01 Recent Bone CT scan results finds 22 mm new sclerotic metastasis in the femur.

UPDATE: PSA doubled, MO has had little input
first off I just wanted to say thank you so much for everyone who responded to my previous post. For someone who is an inexperienced and worried daughter, I really appreciated everyone’s perspective. If you don’t recall, my dad’s PSA had gone up from 1.66 to 3.44 in about 2 months. His testosterone

biclutamide without lupron?
I have high psa and am waiting on a psma in 12 days, then meeting with a oncologist. Urologist want to start biclutamide and lupron now. I am concerned about side effects. Read some older studies 2017-2019 saying biclutamide as a monotherapy was a good option. Any opinions out there? Thanks Pj

High psa. Scheduled for psma pet ct. urologist
just discovered I have very high PSA 250. Feel excellent. Only minor urological issues and dry ejaculation. Scheduled for PSMA in 10 days. have not spoken to an oncologist yet. My urologist wants me to start Lupron and bicalutamide before psma scan. will this cut off any future avenues of treatment

PSA < 0.1
Does this mean you are undetectable. Three months ago I was 0.1. Why not give a reading to the second or third decimal point. Not <0.1, then you would know what your PSA number really is.

My beloved father and best friend has passed away, he will always be my hero.
My wonderful father Albert Moser passed away May 20, 2023. The last few months have been incredibly hard. After his 4th dose of chemo in February, he had a big bleed from a tumor in his bladder which almost killed him. After a 10 day hospital stay with 12 transfusions and nephrostomy tubes inserted he

Stempede with Ogrovyx + Abi.
Hi All, Had pros. cancer in 2014 which was knocked out with guided radiation. Now, 9 years later my PSA went from .4 to .9 in 12 months. PSMA Scan shows a 5mm spot on a small pelvic node. No MRI or CT would have found this! Dr's. starting me on Org., 28 days of Radiation and Abi. The whole hormone

Pluvicto
My brother will go for his second treatment on June 19th. Spoke to the PA yesterday. She said he’ll now get 80% dosage instead of 100%, because they’ve found out it has the same effect. Anyone else hear about this? All labs are good….PSA down from 250 to 215, hemoglobin is at 8.5, calcium is slightly

Started Xtandi
Hello everyone, After almost 3.5 years, my PSA has gone down (from 577 to 4.23), and now it has started to go up again (9.5). So the Firmagon, Docetaxel and Radiation seemed to do a decent job. Now I've started Xtandi and after 3.5 weeks, a new low of 3.53! Doctor was very encouraged to see such

5/25 update on Zytiga failed
To review, after 19 months on Lupron, Zytiga, prednisone, PSA increased on 1/23 to 0.253, then 0.309 on 2/21. Plarify scan showed only one active site in hip which was radiated. 4/4 PSA dropped to 0.24 which indicated the lesion was knocked out and I would be hormone sensitive and stay on Zytiga. Yea

Now Undetectable PSA on BAT Regimen
Happy to share my latest progress report. Note that I am mHSPC, lymph nodes only to pelvis and abdomen. I have been on long-cycle modified BAT for 2.5 years now. 3 months of very high testosterone (400mg T-cypionate every 2 weeks), then one month of ADT using Orgovyx. My PSA has continued to decline

Very slow start getting treatment and diagnosis
Hi everyone, My dad went to the doctor recently and discovered he has a psa of 255. His doctor ordered him a psma pet scan for a week later which was supposed to be today. He shows up and Kaiser cancelled the scan. They told me it happens a lot that radiology appointments need to be cancelled (? Not

Need to make a decision and I’m absolutely frozen.
[I’m 58 and was diagnosed 7 weeks ago with Gleason 4+3, (9 of 16 cores positive, only two had 4+3. A few 3+4’s and the rest were either 3+3 or negative). Perineural invasion on both sides. Decipher score .88 showing Luminal B Proliferating cells. No spread shown on MRI]. I have been around the gamut

I just added more content to my bio regarding my husband's history and current status. I'm highlighting the current treatment for those who might be interested: 5/2023 PSA of 17.1 (holding steady near that reading for the last three tests) He has been on Lupron since PR and subsequent localized
