Xtandi already failing? How is this possible
hi everyone. My dad met with his new oncologist today. He consented to genetic testing so his bloodwork will be sent out in 6 weeks. His new PSA reading came back at 2.84. On February 7th, it was 1.94. He also got another lupron shot today and it’s been over three months since he received one, maybe

Seeking advice on course of action after Decipher Report
My Decipher Report came in and says that my Genomic Risk is High (0.66; 5 year risk of metastasis is 4.1%; 10 year risk of metastasis is 8.5%; and 15 year risk of prostate cancer mortality is 7.0%). I initially thought 7% sounded pretty good, but my RO said no, it's not, and he recommends getting going

When do hot flashes end once ADT is suspended?
I was on ADT (Eligard) quarterly injections from January 2021 to November 2022 (two years). I am still experiencing the side effects of frequent hot flashes, low energy levels, weight gain, etc. I would just like to know when I might expect the hormones to have been "flushed-out" of my system and my

First PSA test and got PSA Free % of 25
Hi. I Just had my frist PSA screening done and got borderline results: PSA: 0.4 PSA Free: 0.1 PSA Free%: 25. Any thoughts on how concerned I should be about the PSA Free% of 25? A little bit of reading tells me PSA Free can be an important indicator of cancer risk and I'm right at the level considered

Determinants of PSA Response to Bipolar Androgen Therapy [BAT]
New study from Sartor et al below [1]. "Bipolar Androgen Therapy (BAT) is a novel therapy known to be effective in a subset of men with metastatic castrate resistant prostate cancer (mCRPC)." "Twenty five patients were non-responders and 16 were responders. Baseline characteristics between non-responders

PSMAddition Phase 1/2 Results?
So my story seems to be evolving quickly. Last August with, psa around 1.4, a psma pet picked up an 8 mm lesion in my right lung and nothing else. Too small to biopsy. Everyone unsure what it was. In November my psa was stable at around 1.4 and a ct scan indicated the lesion was unchanged. Too small

Burning Feet - Cramps Up Calves, Thighs and Glutes.
Hello my warrior brothers: As my bio shows, I have been fighting the beast for 20 years. The Lord has blessed me with an extended life. My PSA is still around 35 and my ALP is 180. I feel great from the waist up. Starting pluvicto April 7th. My question is this - every time I try to walk more

Pain after intercourse
First I would like to thank all the people in this community for providing excellent advice and encouragement. I had radiation and Lupron in 2020, and my PSA has been good. Unfortunately, in February 2022, I had to be hospitalized due to bleeding in my colon. After receiving a couple of units of blood

Acute manic and psychotic symptoms following subcutaneousleuprolide in a male patient without prior psychiatric history:A case report
I've been struggling to maintain my mental health since my last elligard injection. Details in my reply to No_stone_unturned's post on "Does mind over matter work?" SandyBear 2023 posted "Do you also have these symptoms?" These two posts, along with my own recent experience led me to do a quick search

An Important thing to know if considering Estrogen Therapy.
My experience using estrogen as my only form of ADT has been positive. However, when my psa started rising and I began to feel pain in my spine and pelvis my MO put me on Zometa (bone drug IV every 3 mo). Was it necessary? I have no idea. I now get mildly sick for about 36 hours after the infusion

quick update
just spoke with my urology nurse consultant, my PSA is now 0.05, looks like the hormone treatment is working, looking like radiotherapy will start April/ May, I’ve got a personal trainer sorted out and a diet plan, and the effects of the hormone injection have eased, so I’m feeling positive Regards

Waiting for locusts!
Well, spouse's missed Pluvicto was scheduled for last Friday. So only a 3 week delay. He got a slot vacated by a patient who dropped out. Previous Monday his liver enzymes were slightly elevated so they did a test on Wednesday. Enzymes going vertically wrong, so Pluvicto cancelled, diet down to

Tired, sick-feeling, slightly unsteady?
Hi everyone! I have begun year two of treatment. Abiraterone, prednisone, Lupron, radiation. My PSA levels remain low and steady. However, for the last few weeks I have felt weaker than normal, slightly nauseated, and a little unsteady when walking. Pretty much all day long. Does anyone know if this

Next Move?
Briefly, I had Radical Prostatectomy in February of 2018, ADT with Salvage Radiation ending in September of 2019 and undetectable PSA until August of 2022 when it increased to .09, then .12 in October, and .22 in December. Finally, .34 in March 2023. I just received this message from my Oncologist
