Started Xtandi
Hello everyone, After almost 3.5 years, my PSA has gone down (from 577 to 4.23), and now it has started to go up again (9.5). So the Firmagon, Docetaxel and Radiation seemed to do a decent job. Now I've started Xtandi and after 3.5 weeks, a new low of 3.53! Doctor was very encouraged to see such

5/25 update on Zytiga failed
To review, after 19 months on Lupron, Zytiga, prednisone, PSA increased on 1/23 to 0.253, then 0.309 on 2/21. Plarify scan showed only one active site in hip which was radiated. 4/4 PSA dropped to 0.24 which indicated the lesion was knocked out and I would be hormone sensitive and stay on Zytiga. Yea

Now Undetectable PSA on BAT Regimen
Happy to share my latest progress report. Note that I am mHSPC, lymph nodes only to pelvis and abdomen. I have been on long-cycle modified BAT for 2.5 years now. 3 months of very high testosterone (400mg T-cypionate every 2 weeks), then one month of ADT using Orgovyx. My PSA has continued to decline

Very slow start getting treatment and diagnosis
Hi everyone, My dad went to the doctor recently and discovered he has a psa of 255. His doctor ordered him a psma pet scan for a week later which was supposed to be today. He shows up and Kaiser cancelled the scan. They told me it happens a lot that radiology appointments need to be cancelled (? Not

Need to make a decision and I’m absolutely frozen.
[I’m 58 and was diagnosed 7 weeks ago with Gleason 4+3, (9 of 16 cores positive, only two had 4+3. A few 3+4’s and the rest were either 3+3 or negative). Perineural invasion on both sides. Decipher score .88 showing Luminal B Proliferating cells. No spread shown on MRI]. I have been around the gamut

Xofigo Update
I just added more content to my bio regarding my husband's history and current status. I'm highlighting the current treatment for those who might be interested: 5/2023 PSA of 17.1 (holding steady near that reading for the last three tests) He has been on Lupron since PR and subsequent localized

Need some advice on what tools are still in the toolbox
Hi everybody, it’s been a while since I posted but I’m looking for some advice. I was diagnosed in the fall of 2019 with metastatic prostate cancer with 6 bone lesions (a few have shrunk and a few new one have appeared). FYI, I had my prostate removed in July 2019 Gleason 9, PSA 12. I’ve run the gambit

miffed!!
I had a letter last week with the results of tests to see if I have RA or PsA. Rheumatologist has said it’s RA even though I have PsA symptoms. My hands show extensive grade 2 synovial thickening on both my hands and wrist . Right hand worse and changing shape. The wording of the letter made me mad

Loss of appetite?
Hi everyone. It’s been a long time since I have posted but I haven’t forgotten about this forum. My first post was made when I was in university but now I’ve graduated and have started the big girl life with a big girl job. My dad switched from Zytiga to Chemo this year. His left leg has gone numb

What is our APCa community's take on the new age 70 PSA screening limits?
I've been reading about a recent change in PSA screening in England to limit PSA screening for under-70-year-old men to some criteria based on having certain symptoms or at risk. With such a policy in place, if merely having it run in the family is not good enough, I would have not gotten my timely

Please share your experiences with Provenge. What’s it like getting the injections and what are your results?
I’m stage four on Orgovyx and recently went castrate resistant with three small bone mets on my upper spine so we added Zytiga. I started the Eclipse clinical trial three weeks ago with PSA of 3.3 and am authorized for up to four treatments. My plan is to start Provenge after the trial is over. What

PSA results & supplements
What is the received wisdom or view of the relationship between taking supplements (or foods) that claim or do actually seem to reduce or control PSA. For instance curcumin and similar products. It does seem in some cases to impact PSA results on testing but is this actually impacting the PCa cells

PSA from secondary deposits!
I had a radical prostatectomy in 2012 and my PSA levels until about a year ago were undetectable. I was then on annual PSA blood tests, but now they have put them up to 3 monthly as the PSA has risen, although still very low at around 0.2 . It was said at the time that the cancer had not spread beyond

Testosterone post ADT
My t level is coming back very slowly following salvage radiation + 6 months ADT. I’m 60 years old and after nearly 18 months still have difficulty gaining muscle mass and losing this gut. The good news is my PSA is still undetectable. Any suggestions?

Prolonged Fasting to reduce prostate cancer and vitamin B12's effect on raising PSA.
My PSA had held steady at 4 for many years prior but when Covid struck I stopped exercising and gained 40 lbs. It was at this point that my PSA jumped to 5.1 then 7 and I got a 3t MRI and subsequent 16 core targeted biopsy. I was diagnosed with prostate cancer (Group 3, Unfavorable Intermediate Risk
