Chest infection/palpitations
Chest infection again! Hi new to the site and just need some help. Not been well for a few weeks now, been on amoxicillin and did start to feel a little better, but I don't like the palpitations I am having. Told GP and they don't seem to help and now getting a bit anxious about not feeling 100% yet

I Feel Great, What's Wrong With Me?
Just passed my eight year anniversary with stage 4, and I feel better now than at any time since my Dx. And, there are reasons for this. 1) Two Uro's agreed I had St. 4, with Lymph Node involvement. Nope, just St. 4. Two points in my Biopsy Report conflict with each other. One statement says, "?Possible

Antibiotics?
Hi everyone let’s hope 2018 is a one for us with health problems. I know this has been on the forum before but what is the best antibiotic to ask for for chest infections? Amoxicillin doesn’t seem to work. Thanks.

Amoxicillin and gaviscon
Hi, I picked up my penicillin yesterday and asked the pharmacist about my reflux meds. He said at least an hour between the Nexium and amoxicillin, but the Gaviscon wouldn't argue that it at all. I'm obviously going to check when I see my ENT consultant next week. But does this right to you all? Everything

Bronchiectasis exacerbation - when to take sample in
Hello, I am currently taking amoxicillin for an exacerbation but as I am not improving I need to go back to my doctor. As I am on antibiotics is a sputum sample too late to be of use now? Thank you for helping, the unpredictable nature of Bronchiectasis makes it so hard to manage. Best wishes

Doxycycline Antibiotic
Hi there Had flu/chesty cough which led to a chest infection for the Christmas holidays. Put on the good old amoxicillin antibiotic, which didn't really kick-in until the last day. Thought I was getting back to normal, although my sinuses were also playing up but this is not unusual for me. However

West Lothian COPD advice form
I recently saw info sheet recommended for use by COPD sufferers and their GPs. I think it was from West Lothian Health. Having been ill since before Xmas, totally unprepared and unsupported and still coughing green sputum after late delivery of amoxicillin I was going to copy to GP but was interrupted

Rescue pack
I have various problems, sclerderma, emphasyma, branch, none of which I can spell! I had my first chest infection a few weeks a go which was fixed with amoxycillin. I had to go to a copd review even though I don't have food. The nurse was talking about a rescue pack, she said it was important to fix

Oxygen levels
Hi guys, I contracted pneumonia 3 weeks ago. Within that time I've been in A&E twice but they let me home on Christmas eve. In that time I had 2 lots of drip antibiotics followed by oral Amoxicillin and clarithromycin for 2 weeks. Although I was feeling a little better my heart rate was still racing

After-effects of a Severe Chest Infection
I suffered a severe chest infection in early September. Amoxicillin failed so my doctor prescribed a 5 day course of Clarithromycin, 2x250mg per day. This first course made an improvement but I was still coughing week later so a second, 7 day course, 2x500mg per day, was prescribed. I suffered some side

Using Amoxicillin antibiotic While taking Rivaroxiban.
Hi everyone ,hope you all had a great Christmas. Just got back from the Doctor with antibiotics for chest infection. Only just read the blurb which says If you are taking medicines to help stop blood clots (such as Warfarin) you may need extra blood tests. I know it is a clear statement but I really

SOB
Hi all, I'm wondering if anyone with any medical knowledge or experience can help me. I'm 19 years old and for the past 2 years have been suffering from SOB. I'm never gasping but have a feeling as if I don't have enough air and have this strange feeling from my throat downwards, like an irritated feeling
