Supplements/tablets for non allergic rhinitis
Hi I'm not sure if this the right community for this post. I suffer with non allergic rhinitis. I live in the UK. Antihistamines don't work. Are there any other tablets I could take that would be good for this?

Physiotherapy and Asthma
I was at a conference at Portsmouth University. There was an asthma consultant there who spoke on drugs. I commented on the tight rib muscles and tight lower muscles I had seen in asthma sufferers. The asthma consultant said that he sent some asthma sufferers for breathing physiotherapy. This improved

Asthma Succes stories
Hi. I very much would like to hear some succes stories. Anyone, who has any to share? By success stories, I mean, many years without symptoms, or a very controlled asthma. Maybe even going through a longer periode without using an emergency inhaler or even inhaler in general. Would love to hear about

Does anyone’s asthma get triggered from laughing?
Hi my asthma is chronic but I’m on preventers, puffers and occasional steroids. Always tight in cheesy and coughing but not a major wheeze. However if I laugh too much it triggers my asthma and I start wheezing. Does this happen to anyone else?

Flare up
Hi guys. So luckily my asthma has been well managed for that past 10 years. Only had a reliever and that was a Bricanyl. Last year I had a flare up when they changed me from Bricanyl to Salamol and had to put me back on a preventative (clenil). That didn’t work so they put me on the Fostsir 100/6. All

Peanut Allergy help
I have recently had a private food allergy test which showed a mild/moderate reaction to peanuts. Thinking this mild reaction was not serious I ate some peanuts over the last few days. Today I finished the peanuts that were left but about 1 1/2 hours later was hit with a wave a nausea and heart palpatations

I’m new here, does anyone else have asthma? How does it affect your running?
Hi all, I’m 22 and I have mild asthma. It was bad when I was a child then absolutely fine until I got pregnant and couldn’t take my hay fever tablets. My awful hay fever triggered an asthma attack and now I have a reliever inhaler which I never really need to use unless I have bad allergies or if I’m

Travel insurance with Asthma
Has anyone else been quoted crazy prices for traveling with asthma? The only thing that seems to control my asthma is sunshine or at least reasonable weather, insurance companies are looking for over £500 for a two week trip and my asthma is currently under control ish.

Two questions about my asthma
Hi, I have been struggling for 3 months with my asthma ever since I had the flu in February. I've already posted something here a couple of weeks ago but as I still don't feel good and no one around me really understands how bad I feel (not even the doctors) I figured talking to people who had the

My asthma is almost under control with symbicort. The only issue I currently have is that the drugs seem to run out slightly early in the evening - not really a major problem and does not happen everyday. Do not need to use ventollin as it is only a mild occasional problem. My AN says she had been advised

Newly diagnosed with brittle asthma and exhausted
I have had episodes of asthma since I was at school. I have had tough year, after going to see my daughter's new house, previously owned by a cat lover. I was there only a couple of hours on Mothering Sunday, back in March (UK). I am still struggling. I have been back and forth for asthma appointments
