A little insulted...
So, finally have a few days off for vacation, and had on a tv show last night to keep me company while I was making my lunch. It was The Big Bang Theory. I never noticed before, but they make Lenard’s asthma a punchline for a joke all the time. He sees a cute girl (inhaler and laugh track), he is stressed

Since January I have had steroid courses and reviews of current meds with no real positive outcomes. I am very affected by hayfever and my sinuses are almost constantly blocked. I dont remember the

Hi everybody, just reaching out to see if anyone has any information that may be of help to me. I was diagnosed with COPD in 2015 and have been managing fine till this year. I was put on the shielding list as I also have other co morbidities that according to NICE means my COPD is classed as severe.

Retired to Malta
I retired permanently to Malta with my husband in 2018. We know the island well because I inherited 2 flats in St Paul's Bay in 1972. Anyway when I left my cough was bad (I also suffer from Bronchiectasis), waking up every night reliably at 3:00. Every couple of months I seemed to get a bad cold. I

Trimbow users/ ex users
Hi. I have been using Trimbow for about 8 months and though it seemed to be an improvement initially on my previous inhalers I find that now I seem to be a lot more breathless. I wondered if anyone that has used Trimbow has found anything that helped more with breathing when they changed from it? Thanks

Just stressing as I don’t know much about asthma. I’m trying to not google as I think that’s the worst thing I can

what to do if you forget your emergency inhaler
so it's happened, I got to work 2 hours ago and realized I forgot my inhaler. I never leave the house without one but I was in a rush and it slipped my mind. unfortunately I work on an island and take a ferry to work so going home to get it isn't an option. I already don't feel great, I'm irritable,

Hi! I’m new here! I do t know if I’m posting to the right community; although I do have COPD. Many years I have taken Symbicort. Yesterday with a new inhaler I got the worst taste ever. I have never gotten a very bad taste from it before. If I had to describe it it would be like fumes from the

New diagnosis, working on getting meds right
I suspect this is likely to be a work-in-progress forever as the goalposts keep moving, but I thought I'd ask anyway. I've been on Qvar 50 2 puffs twice a day since mid-May, and I finally got to actually see the respiratory nurse for the first time since March, and she's increased it to 3 puffs twice

Might’ve taken inhaler twice help
Hi everyone, after I got out of the shower I couldn’t remembered if I had taken my Symbicort inhaler before my shower. Anyway, I ended up taking it after the shower to be safe. Should I be worried if indeed I did accidentally take 2 doses of symbicort? Thanks

My Asthma preventive inhaler has been changed and the new one has made me feel worse after taking it for about two hours each time
I had been taking Qvar 100 twice a day preventative inhaler for three years after not being on any asthma meds for over twenty years and then in the last few weeks I felt bad after I had taken it and it didn’t seem to help anymore. My doctor changed me to the powder inhaler pulmicort turbhaler 200 twice

Bronchiectasis - All change of Treatment - maybe not...
Re my Bronchiectasis - Saw different Consultant and told to stop Carboistiene/ Azithromycin & move to 30mg Steroids/ day & Trelergy Steroid inhaler. 5 days later now worse than ever - bringing up heavy thick green sputum and was getting worse daily - spent last night 2am thro 5am coughing up sputum.

Ethical Salbutamol Supplier Sought
I’d like to get a spare inhaler for my partner. She is prescribed Salbutamol. In an ideal world the seller would contribute some of the sale proceeds to the work of Asthma Uk Does such a seller exist? If so I’d appreciate their contact details. Thanks
