How much has lockdown increased your alcohol consumption?
Before the beginning of the year I would go to work come home 8ish and a quiet night 4 pints. Over the weekend 14-16. Now thanks to having to stay at home with a laptop it's been ~6 pints weekdays and that's restraining it because I get so annoyingly lonely and fed up by 4pm I want to grab a beer. Weekends

Caught ‘Red Handed?’ 24 F, Scared
Hi all. I’ll begin this post by admitting that I have severe health anxiety, and have previously diagnosed myself with some horrifying maladies that ended up having no basis in truth, so I may just be overreacting. However, I’ve recently (over the last week) been experiencing some pressure/very dull

Antihypertensive drugs & PCa-specific mortality
New study from Finland [1]. This topic has been raised before. "Antihypertensive drug use overall was associated with an increased risk of PCa-specific death (Pre-PCa: 1.21...). "With respect to the separate drug groups, angiotensin II type 1 receptor (ATr) blockers, were associated with improved survival

Still having fuzzy vision even after cataract surgery and new glasses.
Today my vision is so blurry as I worked on a sewing project. Has anyone else had this issue even after cataract surgery and getting new glasses? It’s not every day but today I have blurry and double vision. Should I be concerned or have my sed rate test done? Thanks

Amazing Treatment
Went for my injections on Thursday. Was in waiting area of theatre explaining my rapidly deteriorating vision concerns to the nurse. He asked me if I’d like to speak to the doctor when she walked in. She immediately arranged for me to be scanned then she examined me, said I had cataracts got me assessed

Another bright SPARK
As I write , I am newly brim full of BIIB054 after 2 months missed due to "le confinement" as the lockdown is called in France. Nice to be back with my team. And to get topped up. Mrs WTP is convinced things became worse when the perfusions stopped, although after a confusing few weeks dabbling with

Eating new transgenic rice could lower high blood pressure
Sort of interesting A leading cause of heart disease and stroke, high blood pressure (aka hypertension) is often treated with drugs known as ACE inhibitors. These target the angiotensin converting enzyme in the patient's hormonal system – that enzyme can cause hypertension by narrowing the blood vessels

CATARACT
Has anyone had cataract surgery while still on prednisone for GCA? I know I have a steroid induced cataract in one eye (the eye that I had temporary loss of vision several times earlier in my GCA history—2 years ago) My eye specialist says he no longer sees GCA signs and wants to do the surgery. I

Myopic CNV long term stability outcomes?
Hi everyone, I'm new to this forum I was diagnosed with MMD in my left eye 5 years ago in my early 20's and have been receiving injections in my left eye every 4 months for the last 5 years. I was left with scar tissues that distorts the central vision in that eye but still stable and able to read somewhat

Diabetic Macular Edema
I started having eye problems and told my doctor who just said it was my age! I knew it was happening too quickly and went to see an optician who gave me a digital retinal scan and told me I have Macular Edema and referred me to hospital in December. I finally saw the specialist mid March and he
