Fed up gut!
Hi, I have suffered with diverticulitis and IBS for about 15 years. Recently I have experienced hard bloated tum with dragging sensation just under left breast. When I eat it becomes very uncomfortable and nausea soon follows. When I walk any distance my tum swells to huge proportions and only relieves

First ever PSMA scan shows two small bone lesions
At the time his MO was suggesting adding Zytiga per studies showing its effectiveness with
ADT
at diagnosis for localized high grade cancer (he is Gleason 9). MO also ordered PSMA scan which is now available locally as a baseline, this is his first. PSA is 0.03.

Low TSH, T4 but optimal T3 on NDT (22 weeks pregnant)
I'm 22 weeks pregnant and get my labs run every month. Getting treatment has been a bit messy. I was referred to an endo and went out of curiosity when I was first pregnant. But I also did my own research and read Stop the Thyroid Madness, joined some groups, etc., and learned about NDT. I felt

Polyhydramnios
I am currently 35 weeks. I was diagnosed with Polyhydramnios at 28 weeks. I've had scans every 2 weeks, baby seems healthy which is great. I am just getting sooo uncomfortable with how big ans sore I am. I am really nervous in case Mt waters go themselves.I was wondering how likely I am to be induced

Ndt prescription?Prevent metabolic syndrome? Izabella wentz? diet?
I read that metabolic syndrome is associated with autoimmune diseases (so also hashimoto), so I decided to prevent it (I found a book on the spot, let's hope it's good). Has anyone else successfully followed izabella wentz's advice? I really liked her advice and put it into practice right away

Statin Use Is Associated with Better Prognosis of Patients with Prostate Cancer after Definite Therapies:
For patients who received either
ADT
or RP, statin use could decrease the PCSM. As for those who accepted either
ADT
or RT, statin use could decrease ACM. However, for patients accepting
ADT
, statin use may not always be beneficial for them."

After Zofigo, what next?
Posting an update. My husband just finished 6 sessions of Zofigo (Ra223), which his doctor (MO) recommended after he failed Lupron in 12/21, and then Xtandi in 11/22. He weathered it great, with only mild digestive issues and he continues to be asymptomatic. He meets with his oncologist in two weeks

Latest reults
hi I’ve just had my latest thyroid panel results, numbers seem slightly better for antibodies but still higher than they should. Ft4 & Ft3 slightly higher than last time but still not optimal? B12 and vit D is a work in progress. Ferritin is edging out of optimal towards high end, not sure what this

Been titrating levo and got to about 1 this spring. Was doing OK, not brilliant and was certin I hahe Pernicious Anaemia

Salvage Options after Relapse
More radiation (and likely
ADT
) has its own issues. I understand I’m out of great choice but wondering if folks have salvage experiences to share? At only 56 looking for something that will get me pretty far down the road. thanks much.

new blood test results - should I increase? NDT
hello all, I am on NDT and got my new blood results. They are as followed: TSH: 0.13 (0.27-4.20) Ft3: 3.10 (2.00-4.40) Ft4: 0.96 (0.93-1.70) Test was done 9 am. Last dose NDT was 24h before (1.75 grain - taken all in one). Do you think I should increase my dose of NDT? Or should I stay on

endo appointment feedback please
Hi all following on from my last post I had my appointment with my endo today and he has agreed to increase my dose but is very worried about increased risk of atrial fibrillation. He wants me to record my resting heart rate and blood pressure for the next few weeks. For the record ny last BP was 108

Three strikes and...
My MO has never been in favor of adding Zytiga as
ADT
+. I'm thinking he is going to wait for the PSA to go above .5 and when order another PSMA scan before starting Zytiga. I'm also thinking starting Zytiga now rather than later makes sense since the cancer is apparently no longer confined.

Prostate Oncologist recommendations in Vegas?
He had radiation and is currently on that triple Erleada
adt
therapy, but I don’t have the other specific med names in front of me. His is currently responding well with no detectable PSA.)

When should you start taking Bisphosphonates, or bone strengthening medications.
I have been on continuous
ADT
since 2017 plus chemo and now Abiraterone with prednisone. The last year I have increased back and rib pain. The pain follows after I lift any heavy objects and usually at night when lying in bed. I defiantly have lost a lot of strength as well.

Hypothyroidism and levothyroxine treatment only inadequate?
I had a bad experience on levothyroxine only. I am now on T3 but not optimal yet although much better than I was on the levo.I had to go to hospital appointment regarding my dupuytrens contracture, and the doctor, who was going through my medications list, asked why I wasn't on levothyroxine. I told
