Weight training and ADT
I thought maybe there was someone else out there who entered this treatment journey in good shape who might have some ideas for me on how to cope with
ADT
side effects. I am 59 years old and a little over 6 months into
ADT
. I will have between 6-12 months more.

Treatment Comparison Tool
I was surprised to note that if you add
ADT
to the EBRT/Seeds, - the outcomes were less favorable. Perhaps I am reading this chart incorrectly. Has anyone got any thoughts on this comparison tool and also what am I meant to understand by the left-hand scale that ranges from 20 - 120?

Severe cramps and ADT
Once I started
ADT
(Lupron, abiraterone, prednisone), I started getting severe leg cramps at night. So bad and long lasting that they made me nauseous. These were coupled with occasional toes curling suddenly and very painfully and also jaw suddenly clenching.

How long should PSA go down after SBRT
NADIR is reached, with no
ADT
, and when should one become concerned?

New to this: travel during ADT & post EBRT?
Saw an oncologist and he explained normal course of treatment: start
ADT
, wait 2 months, do EBRT for appx 28 sessions. Continue on
ADT
for another few months, total 6 months. I go back to him early September to discuss PSMA/PET results and start whatever it is I need to do.

ADT, Weightlifting, protein and vegetarian diet
I've been on the full
ADT
regimen for two years, and while I have not been able to gain much muscle mass, I've kept what I started with a maybe firmed it a bit with weight training.

Hypofractionated SBRT for Prostate, local and distant nodes
I’m oligometastatic with local and retropineal lymph nodes. 2nd opinion from UCSF Medical oncologist suggested I do prostate, local and distant lymph nodes in hopes of possibly being able to take
ADT
“vacations” in a couple of years.

Current ADT Recommendation
What I should have said is that I am considering stopping
ADT
at 18 months. Tall_Allen gave a fantastic explanation of the stop/start challenges and I have read through some of Allen's website but I am still not clear on the timeline for
ADT
.

Food supplements I hope will help
While
ADT
starves the cancer, I am taking some food supplements to help with side effects. I tried to select "healthy" supplements that may fight prostate cancer as well. I've included links to a paper on each. Any feedback welcome.

ADT or Hospice?
The family is at a crossroads, deciding between starting him on
ADT
or having him enter hospice. As the urologist described it, without
ADT
he will get to the point where his bone structure can't support any body weight.

Anyone with complications, or who had to go on
ADT
and found it to be not worth it? Any other comments that are pertinent? And as a possibly meaningful aside, my T level pre surgery was 1116; feels like it's still pretty far up there😉.

Aberiterone / Zytiga first ADT treatment
Anyone have an experience with hormone-sensitive first
ADT
treatment of Zytiga / Aberiterone rather than more typical Lupron? If so, can you share? If others haven't been treated this way but have relevant info, that would also be appreciated. Regards, Jeff
